This is a bad review for Catonsville HomeDepot. I went to Ellicott City Home depot to buy shingles which was on sale. But they didnt have enough in stock. The lady (Jennifer) at customer service was very helpful and found out Catonsville homedepot had more than what I needed. But we were not sure if Catonsvillestore had the same sale. So she called the store for me. Unfortunately Catonsville store didnt had the same sale. Jennifer tried to explain to the young lady who answered the phone that they had the sale and I should get a price match. The young lady got very impatient and just hang up on her. I was shocked and then I tried to call them and once the young lady figured that I was the customer Jennifer called about, she simply hang up. I couldnt believe what happened and tried to call back again. This time I was directly put on hold by the automatic voice. All this happened around 8/27/2012 around 9:20 PM. I was very glad that things worked out later at Ellicott City Home Depot, so I didnt have to go to Catonsville HomeDepot forthe shingles. I hope I will never have to visit that store at all.

Worked there before, and now going there no one will help me. Any time I try to ask for help no one comes. In the isle for tile for 20 minutes waiting for someone after they paged them TWICE. No one came so I left. Another time, I rented a sander from the guy who is in charge of the who shindig, he rented me half of the machine. That was over 150 lb, and didnt help me take it out. The beast stood there on his phone talking crap with his friends. Not only did he waste over $200 by selling me something that was never gonna work, he didnt help me carry the damn thing. A huge bulky machine. And he was the manager who should know better. So i hope they fired him and got some new staff. Every time I bought something there in the last two years, it had problems and every person in the store made me feel like its my fault and its not their problem to deal with at all.

I ordered a grill online and picked it up yesterday from the HD in Catonsville. Gladys, who was very personable and friendly, assisted us with getting the grill from the pick up area. When we got home, we noticed some washers had been missing from the grill hardware package. When I returned to HD, Tamara, a helpful woman in customer service, assisted me right away with contacting the correct individuals to have new hardware sent to our home as well as providing us with additional backup washers at no charge. Though I was disappointed items were missing from the grill package, I was impressed with the level of customer service I experienced when interacting with Gladys and Tamara. Thank you both!

I have lived all over the U.S. and shopped at many Home Depots. This is by far the worst Home Depot I have ever been in. Unfortunately, it is the closest to my house at 5 minutes away with the other better stores about 20 minutes drive. So I have shopped here, in much regret, many times. In short, this is a store that should never have been built. They should have left the drive in movie theater there and opened up an Ace or True Value along Route 40. The staff is totally useless as well.

Never buy appliences from here. I ordered washer and dryer, 2 days later I cancelled the order, after that I visited this store 4 times and called for 3 times( each call 45 minutes) each visit and call manager was a different person. each one told me they will return my money. no one was really talking true. It is 2 MONTHS now. I still did not receive my money back. Never buy appliences here. Terrible experience for me.

If you need help with something the staff members never come. I have waited 30 minutes to get someone to get carpet for me and we have called literally 5 times before someone even came over to check on us. We needed a guy named Mike to operate it. Who ever this Mike guy is is the worst employee ever he must have been taking a dump or blowing of work rather than being here. Avoid Mike at all cost!!

Very Poor serveries. Staff is very rude. You have to wait very long. No one is available who can guide you how much material do you required for decking. Very rude in placing special order from store.I am totally agree with others . Lowes Services are much better than this RT40 Home Depot. No one is there to help you out in buying the stuff. Manager have to take actions on his staff services.

I am a former employee that loved the position I had and loved working with the customers of the Catonsville Home Depot but the supervisors and management team could use either some training in how to communicate with each other and Etiquette when talking to employees or a major overhaul. Overall Ill miss working for the company but no one deserves to be treated with no respect.

The odds of finding a helpful employee here are not much better than winning the lottery. The only helpful person I found was another customer. How hard could it be for employees to go up to people who are obviously having a hard time finding what they need and ask "Could I help you find something?" This place is the worst.

Paid $30 for their contractor to come measure for a new door. Stood us up for appointments (where we took off to wait at home) 2xs. Came in for a refund and staff was totally rude, one woman actually stood there and complained she needed a break because "she was hungry". No we are sorry, no thank you, no nothing!

I have nothing but good help from employees there like Jeff and Najah and Joe (millwork) at the Catonsville, MD Home Depot. They have always been polite and helpful. I even left my wallet in the cart here at the self checkout last week and the gentleman there was honest and turned it in. Not a penny out of place.

I went in to find one item and couldnt find it so I wrnt to ask for help and couldnt find anyone. Finally I found someone to help me but they couldnt find what I needed. After searching for twenty minutes I took my phone out and found it in their system and showed the worker and then they found it.

HOME DEPOT has just lost my business! Had a bad experience with management there today, very unprofessional & poorly handled situation on there part. If you must go to homedopt, do yourself a favor, "DONT EVER GO TO THE HOME DEPOT ON RT. 40 (6000 Baltimore National Pike) Go to lowes instead!

This place is a middle of the road home depot, in all aspects. Older staff is helpful, newer staff is useless. Better know what you are looking for before you go in here otherwise you will be wasting your time. I use the HomeDepot app and get answers to everything. Prodesk staff is good.
