This really is the best toy store in Baltimore. A great selection of old standards and some truly cool and unusual items—the toys here are great both for kids and for pop-culture obsessed adults. The prices are extremely competitive, and despite what some other reviewers have said, I have never been treated rudely at Shananigans even during the busiest of the holiday rushes. If all local businesses were this good, the big box stores would not be able to keep their doors open. So if youre looking for a gift for the tyke in your life (or someone a bit older, perhaps), you will not go wrong by shopping here. I recommend it to all my friends, and now Im recommending it to you, Internet.

This is the only place I went this Christmas season where I got help and I really need a lot of help choosing presents for children that I see only twice or three times a year. This year because of the snow I was feeling somewhat limited and because I dont drive, somewhat exhausted getting here but once I was inside I couldnt have been better taken care of. The man who waited on me was interested in helping get the appropriate gift for each child. He knew the stock and he was very helpful with my difficult 19 year old Downs syndrome twin nephews gift choices. Ill be back. They are open Christmas day from 10 to 2 for the really last minute shoppers.

This toy store is hands down the best place to go to get something for the young and young at heart. There is such a great selection of toys and really unique things too. The owners are very kind people who go out of their way to help you get something and even give back to the community. I asked for a donation for an event I am planning and they far exceeded what most places will donate. Dave is so knowledgable about his inventory and was seriously born to run a toy store. I dont know what excites my kids more when we go there seeing Dave or getting something cool. This store is head and shoulders above any of the chains and will not disappoint.

If you want a selection of toys that you wont find at Toys R Us or Target, this is the place for you. It never seems to matter how much time I spend in that store, I always find something new that I hadnt seen before. And the customer service is second to none. The staff is so knowledgeable and patient. If you need a gift for a child and dont know what to get, just tell them your requirements and within minutes youll have a selection of things to buy. I cant say enough great things about this place. Plus you can feel good about buying from a local company instead of one of the big chains.

If I could, I would live in this store. The owner is one of the most helpful, funny, kind, and genuinely great guys I know, and he really knows what hes talking about. I can always find something hilarious and unique at Shananigans, whether for a present or for myself. I absolutely adore the store and make a point to go in whenever I have a chance. Every time I go in, there is something new and exciting. Also, I feel great by supporting a local business. Shananigans is basically the only place I shop whenever I need to get a gift for someone, and they are always pleased, as am I!

Shananigans makes me excited to have children so that I can go there all the time to buy presents! All of the staff are super-helpful, and they know their toys very well! Its a great idea to go in there with a kid in mind and find (or ask for) just the right toy - itll be there, with such a great collection of toys. As a board game player, I know they also have a great selection of board games - and theyre even happy to special order them for you too :)

I have been shopping at Shenanigans for several years now. The staff is always so helpful. I tell them a little about who Im shopping for and they can always show me several great options for gifts. They giftwrap for you as well, it just cant get easier. The kids Ive bought things for have always loved them and their parents like them too. Truly a wonderful shopping experience.

This store is great. They have a huge variety of great unique toys for a large age range. The people working there are always friendly and helpful. The loss of one star is only because check out can be time consuming with a long line of you happen to go when theyre busy. But, it is worth the wait to walk or with great toys and gifts.

I called to ask if they had a copy of Pandemic in, they didnt when I called. But the person helping me on the phone told me that they were picking up items from one of their distributors and theyd and I could pick it up by 4pm. Thats some top shelf customer service.

This is our favorite toy store in Baltimore. The owner is friendly and eager to help with recommending a game or explaining a game. Every time we visit Baltimore we are sure to stop in and see what is new. They recently expanded which makes the store even better.

Great collection of eclectic toys, games, puzzles, and collectibles. While it may not have the same footprint as the big-box toy store, it has way more heart (and a super friendly staff).
