VERY POOR management at the Baton Rouge Stein Mart. Customer service or even concern seems to be lacking all the way down through the employees. Advertised BIG Red Dot Clearance but refused to give it. Merchandise is way overpriced to be calling themselves a discount store. Save yourself a headache and go to a department store. Prices will be comparable and selection and service will be much better.

If I could give this store a zero I would it doesnt deserve a one star. The manager here is so rude and unprofessional till its ridiculous. The store manager name is Lucy and she doesnt honor your coupons and tells you its her store and she do whats she wants save yourself the trouble and go to the department store. They are overpriced and rude it doesnt even seem like a discount store.

Our Steinmart stores in Memphis, TN carry an awesome selection of golf shirts with most between $20 and $30. Ping, Ashworth, Izod, Bolle, Greg Norman, Bobby Jones, PGA brand, Ralph Lauren Golf. They also have a good selection of golf shorts and pants of the same brands. I dont know if this is true at other stores, but I will never buy a golf shirt from a golf retail chain again!

Shopped here often, had very friendly workers at first, then a new manager named Lucy came and all my favorite helpful friendly faces were gone. Corporate should really check out this store.. Its not the same.. She makes you feel very uncomfortable as soon as you walk in the door. Not Good. It doesnt deserve one star.. Sorry.

If I could give this store a negative star I would. I shop stein mart every year for black Friday. This year I was visiting family in Baton Rouge. The manager was extremely rude to many customers about using coupons etc. If this store continues under her management it will be out of business in a year.

As their stores go this one is fairly good but I find the selection to be somewhat limited. It may be that you just need to go on a more regular basis than I do in order to get the good stuff.
