I brought my ring in to get it appraised. Everyone was very nice and helpful however, the appraisal was incorrect and stated that my stone was a tanzanite when really it was a sapphire. Upon getting the appraisal stating that my ring had an incorrect stone, I sent the ring back to the jeweler in Los Angeles and had to pay shipping plus another appraisal fee to have the ring lab tested. After the appraisal and lab testing in Los Angeles was completed, it was confirmed that the stone was a sapphire and the Fred Meyer Jewelers appraisal was incorrect. I was refunded my money by Fred Meyer Jewelers but wish that I went somewhere else to avoid the nightmare of having to send the ring out for another appraisal. I would not recommend Fred Meyer for jewelry appraisals.

My wedding ring was purchased at the Newport Kentucky location. I moved away and when I had any issue, I found myself calling the Newport Kentucky location for assistance. I even called the Newport location while standing in a Fred Meyer store in Texas because the customer service was poor at the Texas location. Tracy at the Newport KY location handled my situation over the phone within minutes and my issue was resolved in Texas! Newport Kentucky location goes above and beyond and I cant explain how impressed I have been with them time after time!

The women working there told us about their lease to own program, but forgot to mention that we would be paying twice the value of the ring, gave us a wrong amount for how much we would be paying every month and its unable to do anything about it. So now we are stuck paying twice what the ring ous worth. Dont trust anything they say, they know nothing about what goes on there.

I had a ring resized here, and when I got it back, the surface of the stone was badly scratched. I would not trust the jewelers here, particularly for any repair work.
