My wifes ring constantly has the diamonds falling out. It is in the repair shop more than she has had it the last 2 1/2 years. She actually bought a replacement cheap ring to wear when it is in repair. Kays store manager gives a different story every time we are there. We have been told it may be due to the main diamond placed in it. Funny it was Kays idea to use that diamond when I bought it, and yes that diamond was from Kay as well. He once even tried to blame her since she is a nurse being to rough with the ring. Then the one time it came back from the shop to fix a loose diamond there was actually a diamond missing. We noticed before even leaving the store. It was obvious to the naked eye. They seemed surprised and had to look under the microscope (like we were lying) only to confirm and have to send it back out. The salesmen and manager either do not know about jewelery and make stuff up just to make a sale or do not care and will tell you anything. Either is unexceptable in my opinon. The store manager has been no help. Half the time it is sent out it comes back after the "guarantee" date. They refuse to replace the ring. Customer service by telephone has also been a joke. Even the supervisor did not follow through like she said and contact the store. The only solution we have been given would be store credit and they proceded to try to sell me a ring $2000 more than the one we had. No one will contact or give out info on the regional manager. Would have never dreamed could have so much trouble with a ring. Nightmare for customer service. Save yourself from all the frustration. Do NOT go to Kay Jewelers to buy anything.

Have to agree with the other review posted. They will jerk you around if you need services done on the jewelry. My wifes wedding ring had a chip in a diamond. Brought it in for repair, they said it would take 6 weeks. Seemed long but oh well, then two weeks later they call and say its done. This was on the coldest day of the winter, we go in to pick it up but notice the same chip is in it. Apparently they sent it somewhere that sent it back without any repairs and they thought it was done. So they apologize and sent it back out. Then they call and say it will be back in a couple months. From 6 weeks to 90 days...on a ring that seems to be popular. We finally picked it up and I spoke to the store manager who seemed to care less. I tried to get her to give us some sort of gesture of good customer service but to no avail. Guess well make one last payment on the credit account and close it off for good. In a market full of jewelry stores, save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

Somehow took more than 10 days to replace a clasp and then I had to wait 15 min to pick it up even though the employee acknowledged when I came in what I was picking up. Not even sure if the same quality of gold was replaced and it still cost $100.
