Dear prospective car-buyer, In todays times, you know the value of every dollar because youve put blood, sweat and tears into EVERY penny youve earned. Before buying a car, choosing a dealership can be somewhat a strenuous task. Theres one place that you should consider. Neil Huffman Subaru has to be one of the BEST car dealerships in the Louisville area! Im a Louisville resident and in May 2014, I shopped around for a 2014 Subaru Outback, only negotiating OTD prices via email. I had contacted various Subaru dealerships in and around the Louisville area which included; Lexington, Indianapolis, Bloomington and Nashville. NO other dealership would seriously negotiate with me like Neil Huffman Subaru (and keep in mind, they really didnt know if I was a serious buyer or not - having never step foot in their dealership before or speak to them face-to-face or on the phone). I did test drive an Outback at another dealership before my final decision on the Make/Model/pkg I wanted to purchase. Long story short, out of 5+ dealerships that I negotiated with over a 2 week period, Huffman-Subaru was the only dealership to come down to a fair price AND they were the ONLY dealership that included with their offer: "2 years certified maintenance to cover oil changes, tire rotation and a 27-point inspection." And as a cherry on top, this dealership has one of the most professional and delightful sales reps Ive ever had the pleasure to meet, Robin McDonald! BTW...I decided to wait a couple of months before I wrote this review to make sure I was 1) over my emotional high of purchasing a new vehicle so I didnt just write a 5 star review because I was in my honeymoon phase of car-buying euphoria and 2) the vehicle didnt have any issues/problems soon after driving it off the lot. I originally had left a very positive, nice review of this dealership. But the problems didnt start until after I had purchased the car (or after I thought I had purchased it). It has now been 3 months since I purchased my vehicle and I have (and am still having) continuous problems with this dealership. Almost a month after purchasing, I received very unprofessional texts from management asking for new copies of my drivers license and check stubs. It turns out that they had lost all of that documentation and had never sent it to the bank with my loan application - so the bank had rejected the loan. No one told us that had happened and that the loan had fallen through. The next issue came about 1.5 months after I bought the car when I was told that my registration wouldnt be complete until I had an inspection done on my car since it came to the dealership from out of state. It had been about 6 weeks and I was out of state for work. They had me running around all over northern Michigan trying to figure out where I could get an out of state inspection done because my temporary tags were about to expire and they were refusing to send me new ones. It turns out that Michigan doesnt handle out of state inspections - so that was a complete waste of my time. And they were suddenly able to send updated temporary tags to me until I could be back in Kentucky for an inspection. Now the issue is that I finally received my registration and its essentially registered to my sister whose only involvement in the process was as a co-signer for the loan application. And now shes the primary owner! Its also impossible to get anyone at that branch to answer the phone and/or call you back! It has been several days and I cannot get anyone to answer the phone or call me back when I leave voicemails. RIDICULOUS

This was my last stop on a very long 3 week buying process. It was easily the best experience I have ever had with a car company. They immediately showed me what I was looking for and allowed me to check it out and ask any questions without being pushy. When I got there no one immediately asked me what my credit was like, what kind of payment I wanted, or anything of the like. They focused on making sure it was the car I wanted and then allowed me to experience it without feeling rushed. I have good credit but the last thing I want to do is remotely talk about finances when I go to just merely browse for a car. Don Pruit was an absolute delight to deal with. He never pushed me into staying, never asked "What can I do to make you buy today", just listed to what I wanted and said he would do what he would to make it happen. They allowed me to leave and bring in my significant other before I even remotely started talking about what I wanted to do. The negotiating process was amazing and though I never met him I do want to send a shout to Chuck for giving me exactly what I asked for on my trade in. I cant wait to continue to work with them and buy my next car from them as well. I went all over the city and this is one of the best dealerships out there. While I am sure everyone is awesome there. I cant help but urge you to reach out to Don and allow him to make your purchase hassle free.

This is an amazing place to buy a vehicle. We have purchase 2 different Subarus from them in the last year. Our newest is the 2016 Outback which is honestly the most amazing SUV on the market with Eye Sight. Leilani Beeler was the first person we met the first time we went and I can tell you we will never have another sales person EVER! Terry the Manager went above and beyond to make our Car buying experience even better by always giving us the best care are treated us like family. Anita Morales in finance also just truly treated us so well and helped us get any extras we wanted!! I truly feel like family when I walk through the door of this place!! I can honestly say it is unlike any experience you have ever had. I would Give my experience 10 stars!!! I know there is usually only 5, but they are definitely a 10 in my book!!! I have never met a more honest trust worthy dealership EVER!!

My wife and I have bought several cars from Tracey Milliner at Neil Huffman Subaru now. Each and every time I step on the lot to purchase a Subaru or to have service done, Tracey and the staff go out of their way to make me feel welcomed. They have what most other dealerships, regardless of manufacturer, do not. Respect, Honesty, and Transparency. My first Subaru I purchased here, the Sales Manager, Chuck, came by and introduced himself to me and made sure I had no questions and understood everything. This is the only dealership, that I would send my grandmother too because I know that she would be treated the same way that my wife and I have been. I would recommend Tracey, Chuck, and the dealership to all my family, friends, and coworkers. I am currently working on leasing my next vehicle with them now because they truly "earned" my business with respect and honesty.

Terrible experience to say the least. Staff lacks knowledge of product. As a consumer who has very little familiarity with Subaru, I knew more than the sales representative that I was given. Not only did she lack knowledge of the product, she was very scattered. I was interested in leasing a vehicle, I provided the exact vehicle and options that were important to me multiple times, yet somehow it did not quite sink in. Not only did she waste over five hours of my time on a Saturday, but it was a very unprofessional experience all around. The Sales manager provided off the wall monthly payment amounts that never added up, when questioned, they still had no clue. Considering we had already had a bad experience at Neil Huffman Volkswagen, I am not surprised. Needless to say, I made my purchase elsewhere with far less hassle and much more professionalism.
