There I was, at a crossroad debating between having to sell one of my kidneys or perhaps ask my new boss if I could just bring a sleeping bag to work and have them take a couple hundred bucks out of my paycheck each month for rent. After visiting every dealer on Scatterfield and a brief discussion with my HR lady I had come to the conclusion that the kidney was going to have to take one for the team... I decided to go to my favorite Mexican place just one last time (kidneys intact) so that I could enjoy an ice cold Margarita... or two =]... As I was placing my order, A tall handsome gentleman named Austin Boyd over heard as I was asking the waiter to add a little extra tequila to my drink. Austin suggested I get the salt rim on the rocks and instantly I knew that he had my best interest in mind. We proceeded to get to know one another and I told him of the conundrum that I was currently in and that I was on the way to St. Vincent for a small procedure. At that moment, he called the waiter over, paid for my drinks and insisted that I go with him across the street to the place that he worked at... BARTS CAR STORE. I was immediately greeted by several smiling faces. I proceeded to tell him that while I sincerely appreciated their hospitality, I had been turned down by so many different dealers that my hope was long gone. He promised me that he would give me a ride to the hospital if he couldnt do anything. "Why not," I said. After about 10 minutes of information gathering, he showed me literally a LIST of vehicles that they were able to get me approved for. Most importantly, THEY WERE ALL IN MY BUDGET!! I could not believe it!! Within 2 hours I was cruising out of there with no payment due for the first 45 days and they were able to get everything done with only a small fraction of what everyone else in town was wanting. I owe a HUGE thanks to the guys over there at Barts. If not for Austin Boyd, I would be a kidney short and probably still wouldnt have as low of a payment as what I do now! You owe it to yourself to stop the shopping and make a trip over to Anderson and see Austin, he made the whole process extremely easy and as weird as it sounds, a lot of FUN!

When my husband bought a car here I never in a million years thought we would come in to the problems that we have. When you ask a salesman "So, what is wrong with the car" and it is an older vehicle, and they proceed to tell you, oh, just "normal wear and tear", you think alright, maybe its a little quirky and needs some TLC since it is slightly older but you DO NOT expect that you cannot even put gasoline in it. You DO NOT expect you can barely accelerate or that it simply will not budge over 50 miles an hour. You also do not expect it to immediately need new brakes and pads. I am not in the least exaggerating that it took us almost an hour to put $20 of fuel in the tank. We tried everything. And what can you do? Obviously, there is no warranty but this was blatantly dishonest. Not to mention, they told us we did not need insurance right away and we had a waiting period to file insurance. Not so and we got pulled over and ticketed due to it. Also, the dealer themselves put our temp plate in the back window which led to the initial pull over for "improper placement". You are a huge local car dealership, how do you NOT know these things and to warn customers or just do it right the first time? Luckily, we have sense got rid of the car but it has left us with nothing but headaches and more money issues. Very disappointing. We had it two months and couldnt keep it a day longer. Horrible.

Very poor experience. I called about a truck I had seen and they told me they sold it that morning but had another one very close to it. I took some time and went to check it out everything was ok. I walked out four hours later peeved that it took that long even though they had all my information way before i walked in the door. The next day I was driving, low and behold my check engine light comes on. I turn it off it says it has a small leak emissions im thinking gas cap I go ahead and replace it next day it comes on again so I can bet my bottom dollar they were turning it off too. I go home to look at my paperwork cause I didnt have time at the dealer cause of me being there four hours and needing to get to work, They charged me $5000 more than what the sticker said. Why you ask cause that stupid little sticker is for "CASH BUYERS" if they have to finance you they charge you more but will not tell you that. The sad thing is I was going back the very next day to trade in my Grand prix to buy my wife a charger. if Bart wants to dispute this they know how to find me I was the only one to buy a truck on 4/25/2012 in Anderson.

I called about a vehicle in Fort Wayne i was interested in, they said they had a buyer coming friday to look at buying it. It was Wednesday when i called so i told them i would be there thursday morning they set an appointment for 10:30am. I was coming from muncie i was 66 miles north of muncie when a man called from barts telling me there was a problem on my credit that the lenders didnt like and couldnt work with me after a few phone calls i found the problem i co sighned on a vehicle for a family member and had no ideal thier vehicle was repossessed. So my self and my girlfriend called and asked if she could co sighn for me we called separate times two different days being told "sure give us your information we will check and call you right back" no one ever returned a call. We went to a major car dealership and was approved for the same make and model vehicle in a newer year and will be driving it home tonight. Wont waste my time here again.

I got my 2011 with 86,000 miles on it back in October from Barts. The vehicle I purchased was beautiful. The man that helped me out work with me a lot to got me into the car i wanted. He was so very sweet and acted like he cared. Since October I have had nothing but issues. I have put $5,000 worth of work into my car. Believe it or not now my car is back in the shop and they are wanting another $1,000 to fix it. I had to have the whole suspension redone within a month of my purchase. The mechanic I have been working with tells me that there is a possibility that my car has been in a flood. There was not a rust spot one on my vehicle win I purchased it. Now my finger wells are resting out along with the inside of my floorboards. I have all kinds of electrical issues due to being wet. I HIGHLY SUGGEST NEVER BUYING A VEHICLE FROM BARTS!!!
