Do not spend your time nor your money here. Doing business here is like buying a car at a tawdry little used car lot. Caveat emptor (buyer beware) is in full force. *** 7 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE POOR QUALITY ALERT*** READ HOW NOT ONLY THIS GALLERY IS AWEFUL CHECK OUT CORPORATES ULTIMATUM TO A FAILED CHAIR. We went on a Sunday. Purchased a chair for $799. To that you add sales tax of course and an $80 delivery fee. Plus you get to sign a piece of paper that tells you that to exchange a piece of furniture or, if they allow, return it you have to pay a 30% restocking fee. Do that math. That would be $240. I have a pickup truck and told them I could pick it up. They drop into a well rehearsed verbal tract about their decision to use a central warehouse in Columbus Ohio and the benefit to me. No Ill pick it up. They tell me they do not have the manpower nor the system to allow a delivery to the store. They told me they dont receive deliveries every day. Im insistent so finally the guy relents but it will cost me $80 to pick it up. Now we grind awhile on that and he does me the favor to allow me pick it up at the store and pay ONLY $40. I get the chair home (it is replacing another Lazy Boy that is old) and sit in it and the small of my back begins hurting in the chair. By evening I can hardly walk my back hurts so bad. Now I need to either find some cushion to alleviate the pressure in this chair or exchange it! Remember the math? $240. Even though I sat in it at the store I wouldve had to sit there a couple of hours for the pressure issue to surface. Who does that? So now Im going to contact them and see what level of benevolence I receive. Ill follow up. Lazy Boy makes a fine recliner. The shops operational policies and disregard is maddening. ***My Lazy Boy recliner is now 7 months old now. The seat cushion has come detached under the upholstery on the front. It looks like an avalanche of foam under the upholstery. The reclining mechanism is loud, halting and plain difficult. I have called Lazy Boy today to talk about how theyre going to make more money from my situation. The first call to Lazy Boy I select service from the computer. That sends you to a third party company called Comfort Care. Theyre not going to talk to me until Lazy Boy has instructed them. Second call to Lazy Boy I select sales thinking Ill speak to a person there. The computer tells me to leave a msg. My third call to Lazy Boy I select payment. Surely theyll have someone answer for money. Nope. Computer tells you to leave a message. So tomorrow Im going in and expect this will become a civil suit because this business is NOT customer friendly. I will follow up. Hopefully Ill be a surprised person. *****No surprise. The manager is Jason. His position is its out of his hands until Comfort Care has an opportunity to inspect it. He said theyd contact their escalation team and after theyve had their process he could possibly help but not until they inspect. That was Saturday. Today is Tuesday 1:58P and I just received my first phone call it was "Autumn" with Lazy Boy Corporate. After she identified she was in contact with the person with whom she was to speak she asked where the chairs cushion was located. Then she swiftly informed me she would order the appropriate part and send a repair team to my house to repair it here on premises. I said this fell apart in 7 months I have no confidence it wont happen again in 7 months and then it will be out of warranty. I said I want to return this chair and I may use the money to replace it with another Lazy Boy model. Again in swift curt form "we do not offer refunds or exchanges. We are offering to fulfill our warranty as printed." I said but that isnt satisfactory to me. "We are offering to repair the chair as our warranty states" So if you send someone theyre going to repair it here on the premises? "Yes the chair will never leave your premises but I wont send anyone without someone being there" What if Im not happy with the repair? She said "then wed have to come out to inspect."

Uses delivery thugs and lacks integrity. No concern of inappropriate and unacceptable customer treatment by delivery men. There is absolutely no justification for my furniture to be dumped on my lawn. There is also no justification for one of the delivery men to try to forcibly take the dolly away from me, after he told me I would have to bring the furniture in myself. Yes, I was alone. It was quite difficult and took a few bumps on the door jamb. Even more, there is no justification for me to be told to bring the furniture in myself. Mr. **, Manager, has made it clear that because he has a delivery man that is extremely terrified of dogs, it is acceptable for my furniture to be left on the lawn, etc. I have no idea whether either delivery man is the man who is extremely afraid of dogs. Based on the fact that they both walked with my dog and I, never indicating any hesitancy, fear, or any potential problem whatsoever, its doubtful that the man who is extremely afraid of dogs was one of them. I paid for delivery and that contract was breached. The behavior of the deliverymen was inexcusable and unconscionable. The very man who said he would not go into the house because of my dog certainly felt safe enough, not only walking with my dog, but also while forcibly trying to take the dolly away from me, in my backyard with the door to the house open! Also, why couldnt the other man help me take in the furniture instead of sitting smugly on the back of the truck!? Mr. **s response to this question, as well as all other questions: "I dont know. I wasnt there". I never received any indication that the delivery mens behavior was unacceptable - not even an apology. Just refund of delivery fee and a hundred dollars for my trouble. A hundred dollars does not remedy the fact that I had to take the furniture in by myself, banging it up in the process (it started to rain); and that a piece of furniture was left on the lawn, after I told them to leave after being physically accosted over the dolly. After I asked them to leave, I immediately went into to my house and closed the door. The deliveryman never asked me for the dolly, he physically accosted me, trying to forcibly dump my furniture on my cement patio and take the dolly. After they left and I felt safe to go out, I saw the furniture on my lawn! I even asked Mr. **, why the piece of furniture wasnt simply returned to the warehouse ("I dont know. I wasnt there."). Mr. ** refused to consider any other remedy, such as an additional 10% off the furniture, since it was left on the lawn! This 10% was lowered from the initial 30%, I had requested. Mr. ** told me to do whatever I felt I had to do, such as file a complaint with the BBB. Unfortunately, BBB could not be of assistance.

I am so disappointed in this company! I still do not have my furniture even though it was ordered August 1. I was told it could take up to 8 weeks for delivery but that normally the furniture comes in within 4-6 weeks. I was told I would get a follow up phone call in a few weeks which I did not. I had company in from out of town and was expecting my furniture to be here. When I called last week and left a message for my sales person, I did not get a return call. Instead I waited 2 days and called back. I was told that she called my place of work which was a lie and wasnt even my place of work....why wouldnt she just call the number on my purchase agreement? (Or the number I left on voicemail) she told me she would call and get information about my furniture and when she did said it would be delivered to their location on the 28th. She stated she would try and get the delivery charge taken care of. So I received a call from Brian, a manager, today who was very condescending to me! He stated the furniture is scheduled to be delivered to the store any day next week not Monday for certain and that it takes 7-10 days to be delivered. So maybe after 10 weeks my furniture will be here. All he offered was a refund which I declined bc Ive already waited 8 weeks....so I should go find different furniture and wait longer!?!?? I will NEVER return to this store and will tell my story to others thinking about shop on here!
