I had a very good long distance buying experience with this shop. I spent some time in Iowa City and Josh let me try the bike on a nearby bike trail. He was careful about fitting the bike to my specifications and because I was buying the bike I got a discount on accessories including speedo, pedals, and water bottle cages. The bike was assembled, professionally packed, and shipped to my home in another state. When a few small parts came up missing during reassembly of the bike, Jon was happy to promptly send the parts. The shop was very good about answering my numerous questions and the guys were very professional and friendly throughout the buying process. They seemed to treat all their customers well. Now having bought the machine I almost wished I lived in Iowa City so Josh and Jon could continue to service the bike. I have no hesitation in recommending this shop in a city with many good bikeshops.

Great local bike shop with incredibly friendly dudes that work there. Theyre always happy to take a look at your bike and help you assess any perceived problems. Theyve got a decent selection of bikes, accessories and jerseys. Not as much as a place like Scheels, but lets face it, youre coming here because its not Scheels. Easy access on your bike through North Liberty or via Coralville, IC on the new and nearly completed bike trail that runs along N Dubuque street. Prices are competitive and the place is a lot of fun to stop into and just chat about bikes. This has become our bike place in the area!

Sugar Bottom Bikes is great. It is locally owned and operated and a great addition to the little North Liberty triangle "downtown". The service is top-notch, but low-pressure and there is just about anything you would need. Places like this deserve the support of the community and better the biking community.
