As a little background I am in my first year of ever riding bikes. I took the MSF Class at DMACC and bought a bike off craiglist this year. I did the majority of the servicing on the questionnable bike myself but ran into questions being inexperienced. I took my bike to a different shop and all I told them was to look it over, because it was a new bike, and let me know if it needs anything, is safe, etc. They said the bike was perfect and charged me over $200. When I did run into questions about servicing my bike for the first time ie oiling the air filter, changing spark plugs and wires, etc, I would just stop by the Struthers service department and they would give me advice on how to do it. A while later, my bike was having shifting issues. I took my bike to Struthers (since I bought my helmet there) to have them try and fix the issue. I dropped it off early one saturday morning and they called me an hour later. The bike was done. And on top off it, it only cost me $40. I was almost scared initially when I dropped it off of what the price tag may have been. Another while later, my bike wouldnt start. Couldnt figure it out. I took it to Struthers again, having received a very fair price last time. They had the bike for 5 days, they cleaned electrical components, topped off the battery, etc. They tried everything they could do and they couldnt get the bike to not work. So after 5 days they said to come get it, it was done and that they couldnt identify what happened. I was annoyed that my bike decided to behave while it was there and figured after 5 days it was going to cost me a small fortune. My wife dropped me off, I walked up to the service manager and he told me "the keys are in it, just take it." I couldnt believe it. They couldnt identify the problem, so they didnt charge me a dime not even for all the work they did trying to find it. My last two, very positive, experiences will definitely bring me back again if I have any issues. This is customer service that I feel is lost in this day and age. I would highly recommend checking out their bikes, utilizing the service department, or just stopping by for free hotdogs/popcorn on the weekend.

I had contacted Struthers Brothers to pick up my motorcycle for maintenance. They were supposed to be at my residence in the morning at 7:30 AM. Unfortunately, they tried to contact me between the hours of 5pm and 6pm leaving a message for me stating that since I did not call them back within the hour, they cancelled the appointment and offered Saturday service. Since I work 2nd shift and they had not told me that they would be confirming my appointment the day prior the pickup, I did not make them aware when I would be available to receive calls. What makes me truly irate is the fact that they tried to contact me the evening before the pick up. If they would have simply tried contacting me even a day sooner, I would have had time to contact them in the morning the next day to confirm the appointment. I know that this may seem petty but I adjusted my schedule to make sure I would be present when they came to pick up the motorcycle. I didnt expect to come home from work to find all of my plans cast aside due to the poor planning and lack of considerations demonstrated by Struthers Brothers.

I took my Suzuki in for service at the beginning of the season. I had lots of parts to put on, and the usual maintenance. The first issue happened a week after I dropped the bike off. They said they didnt have my phone number to call me when my bike was ready. I had to call them to see when the bike would have been done. One of the things they were supposed to do was change the brake fluid. About two weeks of riding pass and my rear brake has almost no pressure in the line. I had to bleed the brake line myself. Three weeks go by, and I had to do it again. Just this week I had to do the front and rear brakes. When I went to buy a new helmet, I was hassled to look at bikes. I own one. No need to spend 14k on another. No respect for what I was doing there in the first place. I shouldnt have to be sold a bike just to pick something else up. Service is terrible, they dont fix things the first time, they only care about getting all of your money, and theyre expensive. I wont be taking my business back to them. I urge you to avoid them, especially the service department.

I rode my way into Ankeny on a Friday night under the impression my rear tire had another 1,000 miles, but a closer inspection once I arrived at my destination revealed it was time for it to be replaced. I called Struthers Brothers the next morning right when they opened got a price quote and was informed they could do same day installation on my tires. They had the EXACT set of tires I was looking for at prices cheaper than what I could get back home and at my online retailers. Their on the bike tire install price was also fair and cheaper than the dealerships at home. They also checked my chain tension and brakes while my bike was in and had me road ready in less than time than I anticipated. Everyone I came across was friendly and willing to answer any questions that I had. I had a great experience and would highly recommend them to the locals and those passing through.

Weve taken all of our dirt bikes, jet skis, street bikes to struthers for service for years. They winterize our jetskis every year including last season. Take the skis out this year, one breaks down after 20 mins on the water. Check the oil and theres one drip on the stick. Check the other ski and its full. Take it back in and they want to tell us that it was full of oil and that "it was just so new and clear that we couldnt see it." Thats a joke right? They say the supercharger went out and want 2400$ to fix it. The supercharger went out because they didnt fill it with oil when they winterized it. Than they wanna be so ignorant to not accept responsibility they try to say the "oil is so new you cant see it?" Just lost a very good customer and I would hope no one else depends on them for their customer service or parts and service dept.

I found a pre-owned motorcycle on their website that I was interested in. I did an inquiry online. I was hesitant, as I have never purchased a bike sight-unseen. Katie promptly responded with answers to my questions. She also offered to send more photos of the bike if the ones online werent clear enough. She accepted a [refundable] deposit from me over the phone while I secured the funds for purchase. After purchasing, I arranged shipping of the motorcycle to AZ. Struthers Bros did a great job prepping the bike for shipment and facilitating the pickup with the shipper. Katie shipped my keys, documents, and even a T-shirt to me. The motorcycle showed up in great shape. The whole process was very smooth, and there is no question that Katie knows what she is doing. I highly recommend them!
