There are not a lot of shops in this mall. The shops they do have are pretty cool. Some better than others. I noticed it was warm wherever we walked inside the mall and the a/c did not seem to be on which concerned me for the animals at the arl. If you are just wanting an indoor place to walk this is a great place to go but if your wanting to shop its not the place to go

Its a decent place but the security can be a bit much. Personally ive been asked to quit playing music (on my cell phone) walking outside the mall on the sidewalk. And after i did, they proceeded to follow me and a friend aeound thw building and even got out of the car to follow us through the building. Its experiences like this that kind of ruin it for me.

Its hard not to compare the new Southridge to the Southridge of its old glory days. The new is quite smaller than other malls in the area. There is no food court. It is an in and out type of place now. It has the feel of a outlet mall. Very few anchor stores. However the few that are there are nice and clean.

This used to a MALL. Now its just waste of space. There is no only one anchor store,( target), Sears has closed, the shops that are left cant possibly support the whole enterprise. I dont know who owns this property now, but I dont think it will survive for much longer.

Somebody needs to go in and save Southridge Mall. Its a nice place. I hate to see it crumble to nothing. If I were rich I would buy and take care of what needs to be done. You can still go out there and walk around, buy from shops. SHOW YOUR SUPPORT

Access to inside stores is quite confusing. The newly developed parts are quite nice, and gives the impression that this mall is making a comeback. Its eery to hear pop music blaring in an empty corridor. I generally only go here to shop at Shag.

Very poor selection of stores. This mall is clearly on its last leg and they tried to remodel it a couple years ago, making it a outdoor mall. Which for Iowa isnt the best idea in the winter. A lot of better malls in central Iowa.

Southridge mall use to be a great mall to visit and shop, and take my son and daughter to ride the beautiful ferris wheel , thats no longer there... Just another strip mall now. Truly sad...... To this long time south sider..

Basically a dead mall now. Pretty sad to see this dead place with no places. Only 3 open that I have seen in the mall. Im only giving it three stars because its probably the closest Ill ever be to an abandoned mall, AMIRITE!!

Southridge Mall is much better looking than before, but it seems to lack the stores that would draw outsiders to visit. Quite a different mall than it was 15 years ago. No good court, no arcade, and now Target is detached.

Not very many stores left here since mall has changed to outdoor shopping area. Mainly would only go for Target or DMACC other than that being locally from the south side I usually go to West Des Moines for shopping.

Can you even call this a mall anymore? Its barely a strip mall and there is only like two interesting shops. An Asian culture shop and a pet adoption area. The rest is unpopular shoe or clothing shops and a GNC.

The mall has gone south.kinda sad it was pretty lively in the beginning. i still think theres hope. its a nice location and lots of room but as you well know it has to do with money which is another sad story.

Very clean, music playing outdoors in public areas, lots of parking. Struggling mall so I always try to shop here to keep the remaining businesses open. Help shop at Southridge Mall.

They remodeled and the front looks nice, but with sears gone and the stores inside looking sparse you get a sense of things winding down. I see more mall walkers inside than customers.

Im just a farm, or COWBOY kind of MAN BUT, seems very nice 2 live. I have lived in 3 different states & 5 different towns, but like living in Mason CITY. IOWA pretty much the most.

The store selection is very limited, especially inside the mall. Parking isnt very convenient, and most stores must be reached from outdoors, making it unpleasant in bad weather.

Still a few things to look at here. Bit its all stuff u can visit in other places of town and have more places to visit. It seams that every year at least one store leaves.

A dead mall. The local community college set up shop in the college, but most of the stores inside the mall are gone. All of the stores now are outside the mall itself.

Theres hardly any shops here, and its all closed and shut down. There was only one other customer in the mall with us. Terrible, terrible place. Which it was nicer :/

Didnt seem all that interesting! Laid out more like a shopping center instead of a mall! But I found the jacket I wanted at Marshalls at an affordable price!

"Southridge" has D.M.A.C.C. South, Target, Hy-Vee, Starbucks, Southridge AMC, A.R.L. and a bunch of typical mall shops too, (as well as Goodmans, "Hobby Hell"

There are barely any stores inside. Just DMACC and a couple of store front churches. Great place to cool off in the summer and let toddlers run free though.

This is hardly a "mall" in the way one would expect. There is very little in the way of available shopping. The one plus is there is plenty of parking.

This place needs bulldozed. There needs to be some sort of revitalization on the southeast side, instead of watering plants constantly down fluer drive.

Its not really a mall anymore. Why call it a mall. Its more local gathering for all ages and dmacc community college campus. Not a mall any more.

They have tried to retain business at this location, but it seems to be slowly dying. I cant speak to the DMACC branch that is at this location.

Easy to get in and out of the mall. Decent selection of stores. I love that the mall is not crazy busy, and they have a nice childrens play area

Its not much of a mall anymore. Theres a few newer shops on the outside of the mall, so its more of a strip mall now. Still worth a visit.
