Always crowded, rude pedestrians and drivers, a lot of children on bikes/scooters/walking alone without parental supervision and with the landscaping impending vision around many corners in the shops its hard to see children around corners. The shops are pretty, but I rarely go to them and I live just down the street. This is because the shops are overpriced, and usually full of snooty people. They do not have a lot of places I would actually shop at other than the gas station, starbucks, occasionally the hen house (overpriced but decent selection and clean produce), and blue moose. We go to blue moose all the time and they have great prices, nice specials throughout the week, and amazing food and mixed drinks (plus an outdoor patio and fire pit). 5/5 for blue moose.

The Village is one of the coolest little pedestrian shopping plazas anywhere in the area. Its located in the heart of Prairie Village, but you dont need to be a local to have a wonderful day there! You cant beat the ambience of all the great restaurants, along with a wonderful grocery, lots of cute little boutiques, coffee shops, bars, liquor store, pet stores, hardware stores; lots of different services - if you need it, you can probably find it in the Village! Its a wonderful place to spend a morning or afternoon of casual shopping! The entire layout of the area is so well-maintained and simply beautiful.

The gem of the City! Everything you ever need right in the neighborhood! The best restaurants, hardware store with great knowledgeable staff, wonderful grocery store, department store, movie and dinner theater, clothing boutiques, liquor store, barber shop, salon and hair spa, luggage and baggage, starbucks, banks, casual and fine dining, an amazing bakery, card shop, lovely sitting areas and parks are abundant!

If it werent for the plethora of good restaurants, this place would be a typical bourgeois yawn. They have Einstein Brothers, C. Frogs (stupid name for a boutique whiskey/BBQ joint, Minskys Pizza, and Blue Moose.

The Village Shops are a great space for just about anything you need. From groceries to hardware to shopping, you really dont have to leave Prairie Village to find most of the things you are looking for.
