Fourth vehicle, fourth stop to see Jake, Trent and the Crew at Discount Tire Coralville! So far Ive purchased tires (and one set of rims) for three personal vehicles and one business vehicle. The Service you receive from this store is remarkable! Its like walking into a 50s style service station! Everyone here is super friendly and knowledgeable. If you have the time to sit and wait, you can watch the work being done on your vehicle through the bay windows to see just how well oiled this machine runs. The staff never seems to stop moving, everything is perfectly orchestrated! When I purchased my rims online from somewhere else (HORRIBLE IDEA), I brought them to Discount Tire to have the tires mounted. Once mounted however, I found out why they were so cheep, they were so far out of round that no amount of weight could safely be added to balance them out! Trent took care of me by writing a letter to the online company I had purchased them from, explaining why these rims should be returned and then found an exact match to what I was looking for from one of their vendors and they work perfect! Did I mention that I even paid less since I did have to pay for shipping on the new rims? Great pricing, unbeatable warranty, why go anywhere else?! Oh you found it cheaper somewhere else? Discount tire will honor or beat that price like they did for me!

Its Friday night and my wife calls me and says she has a flat. Its 545pm and I had not left work yet. I told her to put some fix a flat in and drive to discount tire. I called Discount Tire and Pat answered. I asked him what time they closed and he said 6pm. I knew there was no way to make it there on time but Pat said not to worry about it. He would wait until we drove the car over from the east side of Iowa City. That is commitment and dedication. It was Friday night and they stayed open for us. I dropped the car off at around 620-630pm and went back to pick it up Saturday morning. When I showed up the tire was fixed and they didnt even charge us. It is just a service they offer. I am extremely grateful and they have a customer for life. Ive made sure to tell everyone I know that if you need to get tires you need to go to Discount Tires. They take care of their customers. Thank you Pat and thank you Discount Tire!

My wife got a flat tire & a friend tried to help her change the wheel in the process while trying to remove the wheel lock on the wheel it broke. So she i told her to tow the vehicle to Tires Plus down the street & ill meet her there. So i show up & the Tires Plus Manager tells me it will cost $100 to $200 to remove the broken wheel lock stating that if they removed it the stud & the wheel would be damaged. So i called Discount Tire & they say it would be $5 so i had my car towed here to fix the issue & they didnt charge me $100 or $200 & they didnt damage the wheel at all that damaged wheel lock came out without hesitation. I ended buying a set of 4 brand new tires & they where installed in less than 15 mins & i was on way. Customer service here was beyond excellent ill be back for another set of tires for my other vehicle. These guys are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW, is all I can say about this place. Got my tire cheaper than anyone else in town, significantly cheaper, like $50 per tire cheaper for the same brand/size. They even torqued my lug nuts on as opposed to the usual hammer on at max setting with an impact that most other places do ( last place cross threaded all of my lug nuts). I also watched them ( they have a large window you can sit and watch ) and they took the time to deglaze the brake rotor when they had the tire off! They got the work done really fast as well and their interweb site gave me the exact price quote as in the store, no hidden charges. For once I dont feel like I was getting dicked around, really happy with this place! As of this writing, they recently opened up. I hope they remain as awesome tomorrow as they are today.

Usually great but theyre not doing themselves any good by not servicing appointments promptly. Made an appointment for 3:00 Saturday, pulled in and was told it would be a 2 hour wait because they had "so many walk ins". Uhhh...why did I make an appointment then? Came back Wednesday for a rescheduled appointment at 5:00 and was told they were "slammed" and wouldnt get my car in the bay for 45 minutes. The service bay had 6 spaces...and there were only two cars in the garage. Slammed? I dont think so. The point of an appointment is to actually get your service done at the time of appointment. Really disappointing, and Ill consider taking my business elsewhere unless I have endless hours to kill. A shame, because usually service here is top notch and they guys who work here are very friendly.

Very friendly staff that seems knowledgeable responsive. Unfortunately I had a frustrating experience this morning. I called this morning and spoke with Nick. We had agreed on four of a certain tire for a certain price and I set up an appointment. We were both very clear and I even repeated the tire brand/model so there wouldnt be any surprises when I arrived. Well, unfortunately, when I got to the store the manager, Miguel, said he could not sell the tires at that price. Nick had made a mistake, which he agreed he had. Even though they recognized the error they wouldnt honor it. It took time off from work to get this done. It was my impression that Nick just wanted to get me in the door in hopes of selling something.

Amazed by the excellent customer service. The first place I went told me my tire was unrepairable and that I would have to buy two new tires one to replace the unrepairable one and the second to balance out my car. They did not have any tires in stock so I asked for a second opinion at discount tire. They told me all my options took a look at it and it ended up only fixing my flat and rotating my tires all for free. Everyone was very friendly, nice and willing to work with me. Thank you for being great. Next time discount tire will be my first choice.

If possible I would give them even more stars. The people who work here are amazingly friendly and they stayed past the time they closed just to help a bunch of people that needed their tires repaired or replaced. They had a line full of people and still worked us in even though it was four thirty and they close at six. Great helpful staff and they really know how to give great customer service which is a rarity these days. I would definitely recommend discount tire to anyone with tire needs. - Brett S

I called to get a quote for two tires since one of my tires was is bad shape. They gave me an amazing deal. Then I came into the store and asked if I could only get one since I had recently lost my job and was tight for cash. The manager was amazing and gave me deal to help me out. He said I rather you be safe and help you save money. He treated me as a real person rather than another dollar figure. I never have experienced this level of customer service from a business. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
