The customer service I received at Discount Tire in Cedar Rapids was extraordinary. This is one of those rare businesses that does everything right -- and its entirely by design. This company must hire its sales and customer service staff by personality type as well as by knowledge of tires, because everybody I encountered there (by phone or in person) was polite, professional, friendly and genuinely eager to make sure the customer had a great experience over something as mundane as buying tires. I went in fully prepared to buy four new Michelin tires. Nick, the salesperson, did an inspection of my original tires and suggested buying two tires for the back and keeping the front two. The tread on those still had a couple years left. I had slow leaks in those tires, though. He suggested that his team take a look and see if they could fix the leaks. They did! Free of charge. The new back tires were on my car in about 40 minutes, and Nick texted me when they were ready. I just popped over to Kohls next door while I waited. Nick answered all my questions. His emphasis was on making sure my car would be safe on the road. There was no sales pressure whatsoever. (In fact, like I said, he TALKED ME OUT OF the sale of two tires.) Because of this excellent experience, Im now a loyal Discount Tire customer and will be back in a few years to get those other two tires. I would highly recommend Discount Tire to anyone.

These guys are truly the best! My son was home from the Navy during the holidays and purchased a set of tires and wheels that needed to be shipped to the Cedar Rapids store before he left for Washington. Well as luck and weather would have it our two day window to get the tires here and mounted in time for my son to leave was not met due to good ol Mother Nature, however, Discount Tire offered to ship his tires and wheels to the location closet to his base- FREE of charge. We were so happy! Unfortunately, the car never made it to Washington... my son was in an accident in Montana and totaled his vehicle. I went to the store the next morning and spoke to Justin who sold us the tires. He was very understanding and reassured me they would take care of it. Discount Tire refunded us the total cost of the tires and wheels even though they had made their to the store in Washington. I was forever grateful for their kindness and quick action to make this horrible situation better. My son was deployed shortly after getting back to Washington but was relieved to find out he had no financial obligation to the order he had placed just days prior. I will always come here to get my tires and recommend these guys to everyone I know. Thank you for making a distraught Navy Moms bad day better.

Would have been 5 but the little kid you have as a service writer is lacking in customer relations and was rude. First I called to make sure they had tires I was quoted a price with family discount when I got there I noticed no family discount. Then he said he added it on and told me a lower price. After tires installed they set my old tires next to car so I had to load them up and then on reciepts there was no discount he just simply waived the disposal fee. Which it should have been waived anyway since I didnt have them dispose the tires. Yep probably last time Ill get tires here. Too bad cause Ive got 3 cars that need new tires before winter. Guess Ill try Firestone

These guys are awesome! I have bought multiple sets of tires from them since they opened up here in Cedar Rapids and have had nothing but positive experiences with this store. I moved to Iowa from the southwest and have dealt with Discount Tire for the last 20 years. They will always take care of you and find the best deal they can. I know this sounds like one of those fake reviews and I definitely dont do reviews as the norm for me. They just impressed me enough to feel like I needed to do it! Thanks, Chris

I went to get new tires just before the first big snowfall, and it was busy! Regardless, the employees were still extremely nice and helpful, taking the time to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. I set up an appointment to have the tires swapped out, and it only took about 1 hour from the time I walked in to when I got my car back with the new tires balanced and installed. Great place. Id definitely recommend it.

2 worst experiences buying tires ever. Both times I have a scheduled appointment and both times they dont have the tires in stock. Totally wasted my time. They have lost my both my companies business and my own. I will never go back. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Both times the manager wouldnt even talk to me about their mistake. Corporate was no better.

Anthony helped me choose tires and set an appointment over the phone to buy 4 new tires and install all them. He remembered who I was the next day when I came in and went over all of my options with me. He wasnt pushy at all but priced me out on three different sets of tires. The whole process took about half an hour. 10/10 would get tires here again.

i walked in saying on on a tight budget needing 4 tires. they offered me 4 used high end tires with lots of life left in them for a great price and it only took half hour to do. very impressed with the quality of service and choices given to me. I have been to many discount tire stores over the last 12 years and these guys are top notch amazing

One of the top places to get great service and they dont try to suck your pockets dry ...I priced out tires for my 96 Tahoe others wanted thousand and discount tires gave me a price range around 400 dollars ...so if that dont help you make discount tire your number one place to go then I dont know about you lol

I was able to walk in and purchase a universal rim to replace the rim I had bent on my 07 Toyota Yaris. They moved the tread from the old rim for me and I was able to take it home and get it on my car just in time for work. The whole process took maybe 30 minutes. It was a great experience.

Was not happy with a wait time for one tire and then to have to person pulling my car out to pull up front to push squeal my tires really not good idea when I was right there watching an not even apologize for doing so its a new tire and you only had to move forward 10 feet

First time buying tires and i was impressed, prices were in-line with other stores but these guys got me in and out in 30-40 minutes. The almost pushy sales side is the only thing i would steer away from, but overall a great company and i will return
