My entire family grew up in this area so weve gone here often. Usually workers have a bad attitude, but I dont pay them much mind until today. The security guard stopped us to check our reciept before leaving which is fine, but dont pick and choose who you want to check either. A caucasion lady was in front walked out no problem. Than up comes us Im Dominican and my bff Puerto Rican. So Im about to look for my reciept in my purse until some caucasion guy with bags walks out right in front of the guard. So I told him why arent you stopping him as well and he gives me a blank stare. So i stopped looking for my reciept cause I know exactly what was happening. We were getting profiled. Let me tell you guys something, Racism starts at home. This security guard is African American judging and stopping his own people only. Not knowing that anybody can be a thief. Also not knowing that I grow up coming to this area and now live in Park Slope, My mother grew up here and my grandmother when she came into this country called Park Slope home before it was nice. We have generations here and momma aint raise no fool. We all know better than to steal. Given also in life we were taught about how by the color of our skin and other features we will be judged even by "other minorities" (which i hate using this term). So this review will be posted here & on yelp for hope if they continue checking reciepts that it will be to everybody or nobody!

Super discount If you know quality, this place has some gems among the usual sub-par offerings. Good things go fast, especially in the preferred colors. I got a well designed and executed black light weight cotton sweater for $11. Went back for white a few days later, they were not to be found. Luck and timing are factors here.

I always go here for cheap basic clothes like t-shirts and tank tops. They also have a lot of basic household items at a good price. I usually go to Save on Fifth first, then come here for anything they did not have. They do have one of the best Christmas decortication selections in the city. Dont expect good service though.

I had a pricing issue with an item, and after all was said and done, I am impressed with Rays (the manager I spoke with) management, professionalism, and customer service skills. He deserves a raise for his explanation, effort, and then his desire to make a wrong situation, right for the customer!! Good job Ray. Thanks.

Park Slope really needs a place like this- theyre on every corner in Flatbush, but the Slope is unfortunately lacking. Excellent, big selection of inexpensive stuff.
