I have been using the Altoona target as my home store for almost 10 years. No problems until recently. I have to the store multiple times in the past two weeks to purchase the arm and hammer munchkin diaper refill bags. All the employees have told me they should be out any day. Well today was the last straw Im tired of having dirty diapers in my trash can for daysso I decided I would just ask to order them at checkout since it is a target brand only. I showed her the picture of the item from the target app on my phone. The cashier asked the woman supervisor wearing a black and white striped apron about how she would go about doing that. The supervisor told her no that my only option is to buy online. I asked if I had to pay for shipping. She said not if you use your red card. I do have a red card but what about all the people that do not have credit, they are punished and have to pay more because they cant order in the store?! This is new to me and I have never had an issue until my conversation with this supervisor today. This is absurd I will be taking my services elsewhere to a company that is compassionate about their shoppers.

It is Thanksgiving evening and the sales are on full blast. Unfortunately I had my mother with Alzheimers is in need of a coat. She lives about an hour away. We had went tot he Jolly Holiday Lights and were leaving town and I saw that the store was open, so I thought rather than making the hour trip to Boone to pick her up again to get a coat, I would stop and see if we could find one that fits. I did, but since my mother will not leave her dog, we had him in the car with us and she was very concerned. The lines to check out were extremely long, about 45 minute wait to guess. I explained the situation to the manager and he let us go ahead in line once he saw my mother and how concerned and confused she was getting. I really appreciate the compassion and accommodations. I really was not thinking how crowded it would have been when I went into the store this day. It really could have turned out to be such a disaster for us, but since the employees showed such compassion, we were in and out with a warm coat for my mother. Thank you again. LeAnn

Sincerely disappointed. I am an Target fan, for sure, but this mornings experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. After checking out, I realized I did not get my $10 gift card for the 3 Swiffer refills. I mentioned it to the cashier, who mentioned it to her boss. The lead cashier asked me if it was $10 or $5. I told her I thought it was ten, but in all honesty, I could very well be wrong. The lead cashier looked through the ad while saying, "usually for things like this, its only five." So I asked if I could go get the sign. She told me sure. The kicker was that they had to suspend the order and I had to leave my full cart by the cash register, carry my 1.5 year old daughter to the back of the store while 8 months pregnant. I grabbed the sign, which proved I was right, and when I presented the sign, the lead cashier was very put-off. I debated whether or not to say anything, but while sitting in the parking lot, I decided to write this review. Customer service has a long way to go at this store.

I love my local Target store. I know where everything is, and the people who work there are friendly. The gal at Starbucks had been there for ever, and she remembers me. The older guy that runs the register is always super nice to my girls when we are in his line, and almost always has a sticker for them. True, the Urbandale location has a better clothing selection, but when Im looking for clearance bargains on clothes, thats where Ill go. Otherwise, Im sticking to the Altoona Target.

I see people post 1 star for 99 good experiences but one bad experience or because you had to ask for a gift card that the cashier forgot by accident. Target is a good store with most of the employees being very friendly and helpful. The stores are always clean. I live over 40 miles away from the nearest target but the drive is work the experience.

Love the atmosphere and the shopping experience here. When things go on sale, they are on sale! Employees are kinder and more helpful than the W store across the store. They have the little odd things I use that I cant find in other stores like vitamin e oil, green tea lemon for my husband, and the target diapers dont give my child a rash

This target has a convenient layout compared to other targets I have been to. I have had great service here so far. They have more average sized carts rather than the ginormous carts that most targets have, resulting in a bumper car match in the aisles. Then again, I think they aisles may also be a tad smaller as well.

The staff at your store was exceptional and making sure that I found exactly what I wanted helped me navigate around the store very personal I was able to find exactly what I wanted and I rarely have shopped at Target but after today I expect to return very soon thank you very much

For everyday items in home goods,the prices cant be beat.The dollar aisle is fun and loaded with handy,useful items for all ages.I love the user friendly and accurate self checkout registers.The drawback is high priced clothing and accessories for the fit and quality.

Its a bright, well kept environment. Always plenty of staff & Target is usually a strong competitor in product pricing. This location, one should note, is not a Super Target, so its selection is likely limited by that to some degree.

Friendly staff. Clean store. Price/ad matching always accepted. They even match Amazon. Ive shopped here regularly at least once a week for 8 years, Ive never been disgruntled or put off. Even pharmacy staff are always amazing.

This Target is nice and clean with great guest service! They even sell phones for Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T. I got my S8 here and it was quick and the rep was knowledgeable and kind. The Starbucks too A+.
