Saturday, December 03, 2016 The reason I gave this Verison store 2 stars is because of a female employee who works there as a solution specialist. I walked into this store last night with some kind of a problem activating my daughters new phones which I paid $1400 for . At first I was greeted nicely by a gentleman who informed me I had to wait a while before getting served because it was busy It was about 7:30 pm Friday Dec 2nd. So I decided to make a phone call to Verizon customer service just to see if I can resolve it over the phone while I was talking with customers support here was the mad female employee comes so I made a hand gesture to bring her attention that I am on the phone then unexpectedly she starting yelling saying "do not snap on me you do not know me and walked away so everyone in store started staring at us . I felt humiliated in front of my young daughters and very disappointed by the treatment . I had been a customer with Verizon for years and never seen or heard such an attitude from any Verizon employee like the one I saw and heard last night . I thought where is the high ethics or standards verizon claims when they hire unprofessional or even untrained customer service individuals. Luckily just I was about to snap for real and return back phones another employee came after her & asked me if he can help and he did , he was nice and professional , activated my phones . *** Bottom line if you walk into this Schererville store and see someone greeting you with "Mad Dog" face then you know it is her so do yourself a favor and walk back out .....

Terrible customer service. I purchased my phone in December and had them install a screen protector because I prefer to use the commuter series from otter box but I have a habit of dropping my phone. Within a couple of weeks, I started to notice that the bottom of my screen protector started lifting at the bottom. It wasnt a terrible issue but its slowly been getting worse. I brought my phone back for them to fix the problem and was told they could do nothing for me and that I would have have to contact the company who made the protector and make a warranty claim. I told the associate that they were the ones who installed it so it made the most sense for them to fix it. Excuse after excuse and I was getting nowhere. She even "talked" to the manager and refused to fix the problem. I left angry and contacted customer service who thankfully is sending me a new screen protector. Im taking my business to the Merrillville store from now on. Just completely ridiculous.

You guys should get your internet upgraded! How is it that an iPhone set up at a TELECOMMUNICATIONS store using your WiFi takes 2+hrs but only takes 20 minutes at my house? Are you guys still running dial up? You guys should have never started my phone up there. I was told that backing up my new phone would take "hours" in store and it was easier if I just transfer my data using iTunes at home after they activated my new one. Well it wasnt. It would have saved me 2 days of aggravation and another trip to your store had I just taken the phone out of the box, started my iPhone up at home, and set it up myself rather than you guys turning it on and activating my new one without backing up my iCloud with the initial startup. If you get an iPhone upgrade at this store, take my advice and just let them know that they can put your screen protector on, but DO NOT TURN IT ON because it is much easier to do it at home yourself.

Timothy wasnt very helpful. We were with him for about 30 mins and he said all of 20 words to us. He couldnt get things to work, didnt let us know what was going on, never got a receipt or a bag, nor did we get friendly service. It was literally, "hey what phone you want. That will be $43. Its all done." Really? Some customer service would be nice. Thats the only reason we come into the store. Next time well just order online.

Too many negative things to say about this store. Mostly it all comes down to customer service. No one there was happy or welcoming. They made me to their job for them. Had to explain the promotions they were having to sales men, and then he told me it would be easier if I called Verizon to add my wife to my plan. I will never be back.

Seek out Junior. 4 dealings with Junior and no disappointments. I do not know Junior personally. Needed a new phone and Jr was on vacation. Greeted at the door by John. No problems with John. John made a money saving suggestion after reviewing our blll. Five stars for John as well. good luck on your visit.

This store has poor customer service. As my family walked in we were greeted poorly. When I had a question for an associate they could not answer. " I dont know" said one. When we asked to see cases we were pointed to a wall. I expect to be treated better as a customer. Train your staff better Verizon.
