I like this mall because it has the stores that I shop in, but it is sad to see that there is so much increased security. Usually that makes me feel comfortable, but given that they have harassed my son and his friends because they were in a group of four, I dont know how to feel about it. My husband and I had to come out there because of it and there were no signs posted that they could "disband" groups of 4 or more. They explained that this was new policy and that they could do this at their discretion. This happened some time ago and I hope they have at least changed it to be fair and disband all groups. Everyones discretion is not the same and leaves room open for discrimination. My teen was not causing a disturbance and yes I asked the officer did they do anything wrong. He said no. So then why disband them if they were being peaceful? Just sad that one of the very few places my teen can go to around here is no longer available to him.

I have visited this mall twice now. The first time we came there was a kid running from the cops and towards the entrance it smelled like cigarettes inside. The second time we went there was a group of punk teenagers and they were smoking inside the mall near the entrance/exit area. There were no security officers around. I had my 2 week old babies with me waiting for my husband to pull up with the car and they had to unfortunately inhale nasty smoke. Also we went to the food court near closing time and ordered our food. We sat down and security came up to us and said you only have 15 minutes. We said okay and thanked him. Five minutes later he came up to us again and said you have 10 minutes amd were kicking you out. I said okay you already told us that 5 minutes ago and he smartly replied and Ill keep telling you till you get out! Pretty rude I thought.

I do not know if there was not enough employees working on that day, or customers were rude and oblivious to their actions ...stores looked very disorganized, you could even say dirty because nothing was on its place, like a hurricane went through! One of the stores on the mall directory marked as a gift shop... Its far from it! When my teen daughter and I walked in it not one employee warned us what they were selling!!!! There was no waning signs, no separation !!! From the front of the store I would of never thought that adults only items sold here right next to backpacks! Label your stores better! Lets keep our children safe! Also, employees did not even care or said anything to me to warn me!

Will not be able to attend mall with my friends anymore due to the youth supervision policy. We cannot go during the week due to school and sunday due to religious reasons, and us and our parents work saturdays. We usually go Friday nights. we are all 16. Have fun losing money, we will take our business elsewhere, as im sure many other angry teens will. Im sure a lot of your money is generated by teens who hang out at the mall anyway. I know you are trying to make it a more "Family friendly" environment but you dont have a lot of the childrens stores like you used to. Good luck with that, until then you can find me and my friends at River Oaks.

Have been a customer of Southlake mall for many years. Now if & when I go, especially NEVER on a weekend, I have been very disappointed. Too many gangs of loud children & families walking 4 abreast. I have also been disappointed in the selection of merchandise that is offered at the stores and the new stores that have moved into the mall. Most stores have started selling cheaper brands that can be bought at other stores not in the mall. Even Carsons & Macys are selling cheaper brands with only a very few high end merchandise.

I love this mall! Its multi-level and has a great childrens play area! There was one incident with a older pre-teen playing there, but security came and took care of it pretty quickly. The mall also has a very interesting attraction where kids can choose to create either a fish or flower and send it a digital upstream path that is on the first level, main court of the mall. They also have a pretty good dining area with quite a few places to eat at and plenty of seating! Plenty of parking and easy access inside! Love this place!

My experience started off good, but they started making a rule that said " parents have to be with you if you are in the mall" I dont like this because it will lose the costumers because the mall is usually where kids go out to hang out with their friends out of school, and I know that there are fights and many misshaps but they still shouldnt change the rule now no kids will go because they parents have the with them, thank you.

Needs to have more handicap shopping scooters and placed nearest to main entrance & have more handicap parking nearest to that entrance also. While I appreciate being able to have a scooter-cart, it isnt convenient if I have to trek halfway thru the mall to get it, then trek again will all my stuff after I finish shopping. It just makes Walmart look sooooo much easier.

This new rule is extremely inconvient. This rule does not effect me but the fact that yall wont allow a 17 year old to go and buy something that they need on a weekend is pure stupidity. And the article says that no specific incident took place for this policy to go into place so why enforce it?!? This is absolutely ridiculous and you will lose a ton of business.

Every store you can think of is here, theres a bouncy store where kids can bounce, jump, and do the bouncy opstical course all day for $9 per child , a train that takes kids for rides, and a play area for kids. The food court is normally always clean and offers up some of the best food, and any place that has Cinnabon and pretzels cant be all that bad. :)

This mall used to be much better. Now, it seems the entertainment factor in the center of the mall is what a lot of people go here for. I would love to see more community-minded events at this mall. So much room for improvement! The center of the mall would be a great place for local community-centered events...much better than what is there now!

Im not a huge shopping person, but after a lifetime of visiting various malls around the country, Id have to say this is actually one of the best malls. Some malls have more high-end stores, while others have more lower end. This one seems somewhere in the middle, which would seem to me to match the majority of peoples preferences.

The new rule about Friday and Saturday Is absolutely ridiculous, I am turning 18 next month and I wasnt allowed in, I was shopping for something important and the lady mall cop was behind rude saying that I was "hiding" from her and proceeds to tell me to get out now. Mall cop at every entrance, ridiculous, wont be going back
