I wish I could give it zero stars. My engagement ring was custom-made for me by an individual artist - it was not purchased in a store. Therefore, when the setting on my diamond became loose during a recent weekend trip to Indianapolis, I looked for a jewelry store that could fix the setting. I went to several stores first, and they were all polite and apologetic because their jewelers were not in over the weekend and they could not help. At one store which could not help, the sales person offered to call R-N (which was across the street) to see if they had someone in who could help. The receptionist at R-N said they had a jeweler in who could fix my setting. I drove over there and when I went inside the store, a big man in a suit approached me. I told him I was looking for someone to tighten the setting on my stone. He looked at me with disdain and said "We dont do that for jewelry that was not purchased from R-N." I explained that I had called over a few moments ago and the receptionist said R-Ns jeweler could help. He took my ring from me, marched over to the receptionist, and proceeded to yell at her in front of me for telling me the wrong thing. I got my ring back, but was astounded by the rudeness and brusqueness of this sales person. Even though my ring is not from R-N, that sales person pretty much guaranteed I never will buy any jewelery from them ever.

My experience with Reis-Nichols has always been fantastic. I have had several watch services performed: they have the best watchmakers and jewelers in the entire mid-west. I have purchased jewelry for my girlfriend and have perused and tried on some of the best watches in the world: Patek, Audemars Piguet, Panerai, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and of course Rolex, when stopping in. I am always offered a cappuccino, coffee, soda, beer or cocktail while having a friendly chat with the staff and looking at some of the most amazing jewelry and watches in the mid-west. It makes for really nice experience when stopping in. The staff is always and I mean always, helpful, prompt and friendly, regardless of who is helping you. For example I was having some work done to my girlfriends watch: a $65 service, and I stopped in to drop it off on what happened to be the biggest watch event of the year. The place was packed! People were shoulder to shoulder inside, outside in tents, food, drinks, reps from watch companies were there, it was crazy busy. Nevertheless, the customer service was nothing short of flawless. I was quickly helped and taken care of with nothing but the nicest and friendliest manner. That is truly a sign of great customer service that I would unhesitatingly recommend Reis-Nichols to anyone needing a $65 repair or 6 figure lux purchase.

From whom are these poor reviews coming?! I have no patience for ineptitude or incompetence, as well as poor customer service, and I can tell you RN did not let me down. My fiance and I got my engagement ring and wedding band at RN, and I cant tell you how wonderful they are. The experience has been nothing short of awesome, and the prices are fantastic! For example, since we got my e-ring at RN, we got a 20% discount on the wedding band. Who can complain about that? Customer service has been outstanding. They have worked with us every step of the way, from modifying my e-ring setting (because it was tearing up my fingers, they made it a "comfort fit" band...right there in the store at no charge!) to helping us choose a new diamond to replace the original (with the full purchase price of the original diamond going toward the new one!). They had to rebuild the prongs to get the new diamond to fit, and, again, they did this at NO charge! If youre in the market for any piece of jewelry, ignore the other reviews, skip all the other places and head straight over to RN. I promise you will not be disappointed! (And, if you can, ask for Phil or Nicole. Love them!)

I recently visited Reis-Nichols for the first time to talk with a jewelry consultant about having a ring made to my specifications using a combination of my family heirloom diamonds. I initially met with Brad who evaluated the stones they would be working with and how they could be incorporated into the ring I had in mind. While I was there I also met with a jewelry designer, Andre, who sketched a remarkable design for me based on what I wanted my ring to look like. From then on I worked with Brad, who kept me well informed of the progress and answered all my questions. When I picked up my ring I found it to be absolutely exquisite. I couldnt be more pleased with Andre for designing such a beautiful ring. Its definitely one of a kind that anyone would be proud to wear. The entire experience with Reis-Nichols was pleasant right from the start. I truly appreciate the professionalism from all those I came in contact with at Reis-Nichols and highly recommend them to anyone interested in purchasing fine jewelry.

Ive been on the search for an "upgrade" to my wifes wedding ring. A recent Saturday I stopped by Reis-Nichols on 86th at the advise of a friend. I was greeted at the door by the friendly staff who made me feel at home. Tim Anderson offered his assistance and guided me through the process. I found Tim to be extremely knowledgeable in all aspects. Tim took the time to explain a general background on how diamonds are graded. I found his explanation easy to understand. This is something I didnt experience at other competitors. Tim was very patient with me throughout the entire process. I didnt feel rushed or compelled to buy anything. I found Tim to be genuine in his concern to find a ring that fit my budget and desire. I found exactly what I was looking for. The quality and brilliance of the ring was spectacular. I left not only with the ring I was looking for but under budget at that. I would highly recommend Tim and the staff at Reis-Nichols for any of your jewelry needs! Brandon R

I just bought my 2nd watch from Reis and I cannot recommend them enough. I was trying to track down a model that had been recently discontinued. I originally began my search online in hopes of bargain shopping, but I could not find the reference I wanted in stock anywhere. I resigned to calling Reis expecting to pay a higher "retail" price at a brick and mortar shop - if I could buy it at all. Nothing could have been further from the truth. Specifically addressing price, Reis was on par with the best deals I found online. More importantly, these guys know watches - from Tag to Patek, from vintage Rolex to next years IWC models. After weeks of searching, I gave Reis a call and with an hour I had the JLC Reverso I wanted on order (one of a few left, directly from Switzerland). I also feel much better about buying from Reis over an online retailer... if I have any warranty or service issues, I know where to go. And I know it wont be a headache. If youre in the market for a watch, go to Reis.
