The gentleman who gave us the bad review. Its totally exaggerating; we charge $25 to go down $30 to go up. And yes we do charge five dollars extra if they want to gold back, Zales charges $65 to $100.00 per ring and takes two weeks. Reis Nichols charges $110 in about a week to get it done. Shane company charges $80 three day turnover. Obviously were not charging enough As far as a diamond being chipped in the process of sizing a ring. Thats impossible. I understand he saying it was grandmothers ring. I call those generational diamonds. These rings are the best ones to pass on to a new bride. Being 60 or 80 years old rings, the diamonds have tended to be chipped when they come in. Thats normal on an older diamonds. I seen the ring the chip was small on the girdle. Again its impossible to chip a diamond by sizing it. His statement saying we called the ring a cheap ring is totally false. Again grandmothers rings are always generational diamonds and theyre better than anything you can buy over-the-counter. I feel his statements or marginally slanderous I take this seriously. My fiancée and I took her deceased grandmothers wedding ring and engagement ring into this jeweler to have them resized. They alerted us that it would be $25 per ring which we agreed to given that the gold would come back to us. Upon picking them up we decided to have a 3rd ring (another engagement ring) resized as well under the same requirements as the first 2. When I returned to get the 3rd ring I was told that we were charged incorrectly the first 2 times and that they charge an extra $5 if i want to keep the gold. This is a 20% jump in price that they required me to pay. I also took the original engagement ring in because we noticed a huge chip out of the main diamond. Of course they denied it could have been them and then the owner begins trying to hard sell me on a new ring (after just having spent $80 total on resizing rings). When I mention that these are from my fiancées deceased grandmother he says they are cheap rings and my fiancée deserves something better. Will NEVER return.

I have been to Spalding Jewelers a few times now and every time I come away with an amazing product! The first time I had a three stone ring made into earrings. This last next time I asked for 2 side bands to be converted into one custom band. Their pricing for custom jewelry surprised and delighted me. I had asked for the same custom change at another jeweler in Indy and found their price to customize was quadruple the price at Spaldings. The craftsmanship is just amazing! I wont go anywhere else for my custom jewelry!

Outstanding experience. Wife lost the diamond in her wedding ring 4 years ago. One of the 4 prongs bent. Took the ring to the chain diamond store at the mall. They advised me to get a new solitaire for $1700 +. Wife wanted the ring I put on her finger 20 years ago not a new ring. Went to Spalding Jewelry and got a better diamond with 6 prongs for a much better less than $1500. And they did the work in three days. Positive experience.

Ive been going to Spalding for years. They did a fantastic job on a 14K pendant I took in to them to have diamonds added from my moms ring. Its beautiful and I trust them that what I drop off will be what is returned to me. No switcharoos! Fast turnaround, too. I also go there whenever I need links removed from my watches.
