When it comes to getting the right seed and the right fertilizers and weed killers at the right time, NOBODY, and I mean NOBODY, has their head on straighter for this kind of stuff in the Greenwood area than these guys. They are Purdue grads, and while you IU folks may scoff, when it comes to plants and chemicals you know as well as I do, it doesnt get any better in this state. They do an awful job of advertising themselves. No web site. No Twitter feed to tell you what to buy and when, but if you get into their store and tell them the problem you have, they will solve it. I had grass that would not grow in my back yard---my new neighbors said that nobody had ever gotten grass to grow there. Well I am here to tell you the GVFS guys prescribed the seed and the fertilizer and I have better grass in my backyard now than anyone has on the entire street, front or back yard. And when it comes to pests, they have the chemicals that will cure the problem. And they know Greenwood and what works better than anybody. Doesnt get any better. Just wish they had a Twitter feed so I knew what I needed to be putting on my lawn when, rather than having to call them or drop in. Go figure. Old school, but they know their stuff.

I cannot say enough nice things about the staff at Glenns Valley Feed. Always polite, knowledgeable and friendly. In a recent interaction, I called to see if they had a certain very specific product. After putting me on hold for a brief moment, the response was very detailed! Even included an honest statement like, "we havent decided if well carry them". It may seem straight forward but this is the type of service you dont find everyday. The answer could have just been simply...."no."
