UMC gave me the best experiance I ever had while purchasing a new car. They were extremely knowledgable about their product and very customer service oriented. Suprisingly at the beginning the salesman asked me several questions saying that this is how he makes sure that he shows me the right vehicle or vehicles. He asked me about what kind of payment I wanted to be around, what features I prefered, What my must haves and have nots were. The car he chose for me was a KIA SORENTO - Perfect Match. He said " I wont lie to Sir, I am going to try and sell you a car today, its my job. But I will assure you that you will be taken care of here at UMC" I was a bit surprised but pleased as I understood as he answered all of my questions, there were very few questions as he explained pretty much everything that there was to ask about in his presentation of the vehicle and during the test-drive. The Sales person was extremely inviting and accomodating. He allowed me to take my time looking around the car and during the test drive. After the test drive he invited me in and I was hesitant because I wasnt sure I was ready to purchase even though I really liked the vehicle. He assured me that it would only be a few moments and it would be worth my while. Let me tell you it was. I had been to other dealerships and the deal they gave me was well beyond what the indianapolis dealerships could do. Going inside was the best buying decision I ever made. I bought that day. I didnt plan to but they gave me such a great deal and treated me so well. Lastly, one thing I am most impressed with is that when he said he would take care of me he meant it. I have had my 2011 KIA SORENTO for 6 months and anytime I call him he answers and takes care of me. If I need an oil chang I call my salesman and he schedules it for me. When I needed some after market products I called him and he had them ordered for me. He still checks up on my from time to time. I believe I met a friend at UMC not a Car Salesman. Thank you UMC - See you soon

Reasons why I will NEVER do business with University KIA ever again: 1. After the first contract was signed we were informed 2 weeks after that the loan would not work. 2. We were then given a loan through KIA Financing at a higher rate. Sounds convenient for them, right? 3. That contract was wrongly dated and said we had purchased said vehicle a month before we ever stepped foot on the showroom. 4. I then have to go sign a third contract on Christmas eve. 5. When I asked about getting a new paper plate for the car I was told that they could not do that and not to worry, the cops would understand and KIA would pay the ticket... 6. This brings me to my present situation, it has been three months since I drove this car home and I still have not received the paperwork to get my plates or anything for that matter. To make things even better, my wife and I just had to talk our way out of getting arrested for driving on expired dealer plates. Yes, I said arrested. Its a misdemeanor not the infraction they had told me at the dealership. To all who read this, the 2015 KIA Soul is a great car but DO NOT BUY ONE FROM UNIVERSITY KIA!

I showed up to test drive a Kia only to have a lackadaisical salesperson who played the cars stereo system to cover of the horrible road noise coming from the car. Despite my statements during the drive that I was concerned about my use of the vehicle, the sales person jumped into a pushy pitch, saying "How much fun I looked like I was having," instead of tending to my concerns. Over and over, the sales person kept trying to "get me to take it home today," even though I stated many times that I needed to think it over, largely due to financing. The salesman then had a manager show up to the situation with the same, "get you home today" line while completely BSing me on the whole situation. Specifically, he indicated that I would get no better than a 6.0% interest on a car and asked how much I could pay a month. He offered $20 more and refused to say what interest rate I was paying. Suffice it to say, I went to IU Credit Union the next day and received a 4.5% interest rate. I was actually considering purchasing the car, but considering their pushy, self-interested behavior, I decided to go elsewhere.

I stopped at University Kia to look at a Kia Soul. I made it very clear up front I was only looking and had no intent to buy. After a test drive I stupidly agreed to hear some numbers. From that point on they would not let me leave until I said yes to buying the car. They practically cornered me and pressured me like I was being interrogated. I made it clear I wanted to think about it but they persisted. I had to defend myself for at least 15 minutes while they berated me, trying to get me to buy. I finally managed to squirm my way out after 2 hours at the dealer. I went so far as to write a complaint to the dealership online. The response from Bloomington Ford was offensive. It consisted of 2 sentences which essentially said, "Oh, were sorry you did not enjoy your experience. Sorry." There was absolutely no effort put forth and no sincerity in their reply. I will NEVER buy a car from University Kia, and I will have a hard time buying from any of the other dealerships in the group - Ford, Chrylser, and certainly not Kia.

Go to Evansville for Mitsubishi cars. Ask for Travis or Dan Paddock in Evansville. When I went to Bloomington, standing next to a car that was thought to be a good discount or deal, I asked "how much is this car?" And Nick said "theres the sticker price right there, what else do you want to know?" After that moment, I had to really make him focus that I wanted to know the drive away price and not the monthly payment price. I asked about 5 times in 15 minutes for the total price of the car. Lets just say extra fees came from no where and by the end the price of the car was more expensive than other dealers. When he was writing the quote he gave me, he wrote the monthly payment down. I handed it back to him and told him once again that I wanted to itemized cost of the car. If you want to work with salesmen that arent dumb, go to Evansville. In less than 15 min, I had an itemized quote for the whole price of the car, much better price than the quotes I got from indy, bloomington, and Terre haute.

I went to University Kia really just window shopping. I had considered trading my Mazda 3 that had 100K miles on it but I wasnt rushed to do that so I had no pressure to buy if the price wasnt right. Im 64" so the Mazda 3 was small for me but I could manage. I really wanted a truck but theyre half the price of a house so I figured I can deal with an SUV. Seth the salesman was great and done everything he could to get me right where I needed to be and was super friendly and I drove away in a 2016 Kia Sportage. The day after I purchased my Kia I noticed a place on the hood that looked like a dull spot on the hood (My Kia is black and black shows everything) I took it in on Monday and talked to the Manager Patrick and he knew exactly what it was and said its residue from the protective plastic the cars are shipped with and scheduled me a full detail and a loaner car for the day they done it. That was top notch service! Great experience!
