Very misleading!!! Website ad had very misleading information about a BMW 540i touring. The ad called out MANY options the car did not have. When I spoke with a salesman I was told the ad was a mistaken copy from a previous sold 540i. OK, I will give them the benefit of the doubt. I still liked the car and negotiated a fair price over the phone. I asked the salesman about condition of the car and if it had any rust. I was assured it was in brand new condition with no rust and everything works, beautiful car. Up to this point my experience was pretty positive aside from the misleading ad. I drove down from Milwaukee area (1:45 drive) showed up and the car was not there. Mostly my fault as I showed up unannounced, was told 30 minutes. Came back 30 minutes later and was told 10 minutes. I was continually assured it was worth the wait and how great of shape the car was in, “Like new”. Car shows up over an hour later. Ill give them the benefit of the doubt again. Step outside to look at the car, which was still full of suds from the car wash down the street, and had clothes in it from the salesman who seemed to be using it as his daily driver. I take a quick look around the car and was immediately confronted with rust stain on the side skirt and rust all along the bottom of the passenger side door. NOT HAPPY! Look around further, a few dings here and there, and headlights have some moisture inside lenses. Interior had broken cup holder, dirty, dead pixel in the radio display. I pop the hood and am greeted to an oily dirty engine with visible signs of multiple leaks. NOT HAPPY! At this point I say I am going to have to pass on the car it has rust and oil leaks that I do not want to deal with. To my surprise the sales managers starts getting very defensive and tells me the car is 15 years old what did I expect. I expected a “like new” car with NO RUST. Turned into a giant waste of a half day of vacation. I would be very careful with how misleading they can be. After taking a look at some of the other cars in the showroom and on the lot, I was not impressed.

I thought i had purchased a good car from them but it turns out i didnt. I dont know where to start but here it goes. First off i cant believe how long it took them to get all the paper work ready, i LITERALLY waited over 6 hours for them finally to release the vehicle to me. When i checked the vehicle i did a thoroughly check to make sure nothing was wrong with it. The same day i bought the vehicle and drove it home, i had 3 lights come on in the dash board. I was told i had 3 months warranty so i called the dealer and told them what happend. Well they said they will get it "FIXED". They had me take it to a mechanic shop called BOBS AUTO BODY SHOP which they fix all there cars. When he "fixed" it i had a feeling he would do a quick fix. What i mean by that was he would just clear the codes so it wont come up in the dash board so it can appear it got fixed but they will come up again later on. Thats exactly what happend the exact same lights came on the dash a few days later. I called the dealership and they said its not covered by the warranty and what not so i have to pay out of my pocket. For anyone that is looking to buy a car from these guys if any lights come on your dash i would suggest not getting it and returning the vehicle. They will tell you they will get it "fixed" how they told me and tell there Mechanic to clear the codes as well. Of course they dont want to put money into the car so they will find a way around it how they did with me. If they say they really are going to fix it have them let you take it to a mechanic shop you can trust, not their personal Mechanic shop. I HOPE DREAM CAR CHICAGO reads this and knows this is not how car buying should be.

I recently bought a car from dreamcarschicago and traded a newer truck worth much more than the car bought. It was agreed on a price over the phone and drove to Chicago from N.Y.. When I arrived 10 hours later to make the trade they reneged on the price. I traded any way because of the long drive. I drove the car home and went to get it inspected. Back brakes destroyed, ball joints destroyed, oil filter housing and oil line leaking bad and a emissions code showing a bad AIR system. Total bill over $2000. The reason for the one star is the salesman tried to help and did get them to send me a few parts as well. It was a very bad transaction.I wish I had read the reviews before driving there. A lot of bad decisions on my part and I will have to eat the $2000 but this dealer does not look at the car before they let it go. It could have been a lot worse as my mechanic said. The ball joints and brakes were so bad It could have caused a bad accident. Lucky me . I will have a nice car when I get done though. The service manager told me that they dont even have a service area to look at these cars and that they outsource the work. They are still responsible though.

I had bought a SUV from them and it looked just like off the website. They were very friendly and even stayed after there work hours to get me my car. I had to drive 466mi one way and they worked with me and whent out of there way to make sure I got the car. I bought a 04 so of course there not flawless but all I found wrong with it after 2 weeks is there is a tiny I mean tiny ding in the passenger door. the rubber strip that is on the edge of the window came off some1 silicon it so I just re silicon it. The throttle stuck have to have it looked and the balance weight was off the front driver tire. All the electronics work and am very happy with the car so far. Any1 who buys a used car and dont think you have a few kinks to work out you pro. havnt bought many over 10yr old cars. they all need work.
