Rating would be ZERO if possible. They have the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced and are completely incompetent repair technicians. After numerous calls and promises, the fellow came out and recommended a thermistor be replaced. He did not have one on hand but we later got one from him and I installed it myself. No change in functionality. After several more calls and broken promises to return, he showed up and replace a run/start capacitory with one that, in his words, "is better than the original". The unit ran for a few hours after service but did not cool. He suggested that we cycle the power. Upon cycling the circuit breaker, the control board blew up. He said that he would order one. A couple of days later we called to find out that the part was on "natonal back order". I did not beleive him. I went to another local shop, Kleins Brand Source in Fairview Heights, IL, who ordered a new one which we received in two days. I installed the new control board at the advise of East Side which immediately blew out. We were delayed in getting back to the freezer while my father battled lung cancer and eventually died on Nov. 5th. In mid November, I had Kleins order another control board and we removed the freezer and transported it to them. They determined that the installed capacitor was responsible for blowing out the two control boards and the compressor was blown as well. Kleins was able to order the necessary compressor replacement along with the new control board I had them order and get the freezer fully functional in about a week. All together, we spent more than $1000 on the repair. $672.92 was the cost in addition to what we paid East Side. I have asked them to reimburse me that amount but that have failed to respond in any way. I will be filing a small claims court action as well as a complaint to the BBB.

Terrible service. First the guy showed up late to work on my dishwasher. Part of the washer was clogged with debris and causing a fill error. He took it apart and unclogged it by repeatedly smacking it on my kitchen counter. In the process he splattered gunk all over my clean dishes that were drying in the sink. He puts the dishwasher back together and it works so he leaves. Well, when the dishwasher tried to drain there was a leakage error. I called their office and was told he would come back after his next call. He never showed up. The receptionist called me the next day and said that the sensors in the dishwasher are just detecting water that was spilled when he took the dishwasher apart and it just needs to be left open to dry for a few hours. I opened the dishwasher and left town for the weekend. On Monday morning it still doesnt work, so I call their office and am told someone will come out that afternoon. No one comes, and because I was out of town I didnt get a chance to call the bank and cancel the check I wrote them. I spent over $100 for them to cause a new problem with my dishwasher.

Actually ZERO stars for my rating. I wish someone wouldve told me to NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I was promised a cheap and inexpensive repair and was charged $425 for temperature fluctuations and ice cubes sticking together. I could have bought a new freezer for that price. I have not had a single phone call returned from the owner who was also the tech on the job! I have called three times and was told the owner has not been in the building at the same time as the girl answering the phone....for two weeks now. I have NO idea how this company is still in business and have filed a complaint with the BBB. The receipt has the service call amount scratched out and changed for an increased amount. And the list goes on.....CONSUMER BEWARE!! What a rip off, scam, unethical business practice!

This small repair place will not follow up on the water leak their repairman left me with that flooded the area behind Frigidaire and into the utility room behind it. Damage to my kitchen cabinets and a three day mess to clean up and dry out. I also had to replace the fitting on the installed valve that he should have done so it would not leak. They will not respond to e mails or phone calls. I am very disappointed and feel scammed, and that is a shame because the owner was a reputable and trustworthy businessman. If he would have simply worked with me and paid for my repairs and inconvenience instead of ignoring the situation he caused, hoping I would go away. As they say," what goes around comes around ".

Word to the wise...DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS FOR YOUR APPLIANCE REPAIR...TRUST ME. UNLESS YOU WANT THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB. THEY ARE THAT BAD. CALL MEYER REPAIR FROM FAIRVIEW OR ANOTHER COMPANY. BUT DO NOT CALL EAST SIDE!!!!
