I like to first start off by saying I am an active duty Coast Guard veteran. Went into the store today to buy some Lumber and showed my military ID and was told that they dont give a military discount to Coast Guard. I wad told that the coast guard doesnt count. I thought the cashier was joking at First but after a few seconds of uncomfortableness I realized that she was very serious. I quickly educated her that the Coast Guard is one of the five armed Services and has been for many many many years and is the oldest seagoing military service in United States. Even after showing her my military ID which is no different than the other four armed services ids, she remained firm that Home Depot didnt recognize the Coast Guard has a military service. To say the least I was a bit livid and noticed the cashier next to her looking surprised at her like she was crazy. He stated top hey that the coast guard is a military service and to accept the card. I could tell she didnt agree. By the way she said that she had learned this from working at the Marrero store.

This store is poorly ran from top to bottom. They never answer their phones, and dont go in there looking for help because they dont do that either. They disappear all the time or get into groups around one customer to pretend like they are busy so they dont have to help you. They do anything to get out of work. God forbid if you get fed up and ask for the DISTRICT MANAGERs phone number. They lie and tell you they arent allowed to give that out and for you to call some silly 1-800 number. They realized if they ever gave out his number they would all be fired due to how horrible they are. Here is a tip for you. Fire all your employees and replace them with new ones who care.

Just a BIG THANK YOU & a message of APPRECIATION to Zack for helping a 75 year old lady & her teacher daughter get a an important stairway job done. The extra courtesy and extra work Zack did was a very big asset to the store. The two stringers had to be replaced which we didnt have the time or experience to do. (A carpenter didnt use "treated wood" in 1989 so my grandson fell thru a dry rotted step in September). Now, my experienced son-in-law will complete the job. We have the right material for steps all ready for him Thanks to Zack. Great job! D. Satterlee

You try to call the store nobody will answer. If get someone to answer they transfer you to someone else then they dont answer so you are sent back to an operator they try someone else they will not answer. So when you get tried of being on the phone for 15 minutes playing the back and forth game you ask for the manager on duty and they dont answer. Dont waste your time calling them because they will not help you.

Very few employees on the floor took over 30 minutes to find better quality saw horses told three different isles found on. 4th try?#s%! need to have map of store and where items are located for customer or at least for their employees. Very dissapointed will go to lowes or Ace hardware next time

Rented a dump trailer and the battery was so weak it wouldnt lift half of the trailers weight capacity. Has to shovel 2000lbs of gravel out by hand. I complained when I returned the trailer and didnt get so much as a simple sorry. Didnt say a word. Just rang me up and handed me my receipt. Place is a joke.

Overall pretty good. Someone is sometimes there to help and they are very helpful when they are. Usually crowded but sometimes I find some good deals on tools and paint. I like the selection of lightbulbs and tile too. The Halloween and Christmas decor for home is amazing.

Dont bother trying to call and speak to anyone! Ridiculous! And the music they play while you are holding is horrible! I will have to do business with a more reachable retailer. There are other local stores that want your business and appreciate you spending with them.

Lousy customer service. Dont bother trying to call anyone at the store, they wont answer or you are put on indefinite hold. Worked with Louise in the carpet/flooring area and absolutely no follow-up. Take your business elsewhere.

They wont answer a phone! They still owe me a 14.4 drill driver that was covered under warranty. It has been over 5 months. I think Lowes will be getting my business from now on.

This is the worst Home Depot that we have ever seen. The employees are lazy and rude. The store is a mess and has a layout designed by a complete idiot. What a shame!

This is a very well managed HD. They have employed retirees in each aspect of the place who offer their expertise which establishes good direction. I respect that.
