My fiancé and I were looking for a ring that was unique. We spent a month looking at every single retailer: Kay, Jared, Roger and Holland, Zale’s -as well as every single jewelry store on Devon Avenue, from the first to the last. The inventory at all the places looked standard and none of them had unique or different designs. At European Jewelry we were instantly able to find designs that others didnt have. Within 5 minutes of being in the store, my to-be fiancé asked to see at least 10 rings, which was the first time I had seen her do that! Sam then told us to check out his inventory, but also that if my fiancé and I did not find exactly what we were looking for; we could create a custom ring, which is exactly what we ended up doing. Throughout the whole process, Sam, and the rest of the staff we interacted with, were very professional, helpful, and made sure that our smallest needs and questions were addressed. Sam’s customer service and honesty are enough reasons to work with him on custom rings but he also has fair pricing. He even suggested diamonds that were good quality not necessarily more expensive, which we were, really appreciate of and increased our trust in his recommendations. After showing him a picture of what we wanted designed, he started working hard on it and was able to get me my ring on time. I had made numerous changes and every time Sam made the changes without hesitation and provided me new CADs promptly. He was very approachable and he ensured my fiancé was fully satisfied with the design. Since I had my fiancé involved in selecting the ring, I wanted to still make sure she was surprised when I proposed. Sam went out of his way by pretending to call us that the ring wont be ready (I already had the ring), to throw her off. When I proposed, my fiancé was looking at the ring for the first time and she was totally surprised. Today my fiancé and I are EXTREMELY happy and we will surely be getting our wedding bands and all future purchases from him. After my experience with Sam, I wholeheartedly recommend him to everyone.

When you realize youve found the person that you wish to spend the rest of your life with and are ready to buy the perfect ring there is nobody else you want in you corner than European Jewelry. From the moment I walked into their store they made me feel like their only client. They took the time to explain the process, educate me, and make sure I got the biggest bang for my buck in terms of both diamond size and quality. They were patient and made the entire process feel very comfortable while being more affordable and carried diamonds of higher quality than other jewelers I visited. They were unbelievably accommodating and made sure I was 100% satisfied with my purchase, they treated me as if I was spending a million dollars when in fact my purchase was very modest. When I was picking out my diamond there was a celebrity in the store, I was completely shocked at the treatment this celebrity was receiving from the owners, and their staff...I was even more shocked that I was being treated the exact same way! When my phone died, and I didnt have my car charger one of the owners accompanied me to the Starbucks next door and sat with me while my phone charged. Most importantly my now fiancé was blown away by the ring. She gets compliments regularly and her face lights up every time she looks at it, this in part is due to the recommendations they offered. They even followed up with me after the fact and asked me how the proposal went; they were legitimately just as excited by the big day as I was. Thank you for making one of the most important days of my life (and hers) such a surreal experience, thank you for being genuinely great people. I’m happy to call myself a customer of yours for life.

Sam and his team at European Jewelry are miracle workers! My parents have been using them for many years, and I learned why when I bought my now-fiancee an engagement ring. The ring, which I purchased at the Field Museum, is very unique and rare, boasting a special design cast for the Field Museums engagement collection, with markings all around the band and a setting built into the ring. It has special meaning to my fiancee and to me. It needed resizing and a specifically sized stone for the non-removable setting. Another jeweler said he had to cut the beautiful design and actually criticized me for choosing such a difficult-to-adjust ring! You can bet I never will use his services. My folks sent me to Sam, and not only did he resize (up a whole size!) the ring without cutting or hurting the rings structure or design, but he also found the perfect diamond. Given my concern about conflict stones, as I have done work with refugees from Sierra Leone, I wanted only a Canadian diamond. Sam and his team found not only a Canadian diamond, but also one in the exact size I needed! He even gave me a deal that fit my budget. Within two days, the cubic zirconium in the ring was replaced by a gorgeous diamond. The only anxiety came from having everything done so quickly -- I still had lots of time before the proposal on our anniversary! I can assure you that European Jewelry will live on as our family jeweler. Theyre pleasant, friendly and will work with you to get you what you need within a reasonable budget and timeframe. My fiancee says her ring is the most beautiful in the world and absolutely loves the diamond. I agree!

My fiancée and I went here to have her antique engagement ring resized, based on the reviews I read online. It was a Saturday and they were busy, but I could tell they were paying attention to those of us who were waiting, aside from greeting us when we walked in. When it was our turn, we explained what we wanted and assumed we might have to leave the ring and come back another time. I was pleasantly surprised when she explained that they could have it done in a couple of hours if we wanted to stop back in that afternoon. She filled out the requisite form and I appreciated the attention to detail and specificity that was used in doing so. We went shopping and came back and I was blown away at the work. Not only did it fit perfectly, they had cleaned and polished the ring, making it look like an almost different ring. Honestly, it already looked great, but being antique, I assumed the condition was just the way it was. It is incredible, now. We cant stop looking at it and it thrills me that my fiancée loves ther ring even more after their work. Oh, and they only charged $60. I will definitely be taking my business to them for all future needs.

My fiance gave me his great, great Grandmothers ring when he proposed. It was a full 2 ring sizes too large, but he was nervous about having it sized since it is from the early 1900s and we didnt want anything to happen to it. After hearing good things about European Jewelry, we decided to stop in and see what they could do. Not only did Sammy size the ring down so that it fits perfectly, he did it so flawlessly that even my fiance and his family were pleased (you cannot detect ANY change - its perfect). Plus, they charged us only $25 and took care of it while we waited!! We are so pleased with European Jewelry. We decided to get our wedding bands from them, too. I wanted something simple, no diamonds, and was treated with respect and given time and consideration. We spoke with Nancy about the bands - and she was fun, affirming, and very very helpful. At other jewelers, we felt pressured to spend more, get something bigger/fancier, and at European they asked us the right questions and listened to our answers and supported us in our decision and style. Definitely a great value and fun, relaxing experience.
