MCJ Jewelers is a true gem of a find. Would definitely give it 10 stars out of 5! While helping our future son-in-law find an engagement ring for our daughter we happened upon MCJ Jewelers and are so glad we did. The owners, Craig and Jane, are wonderful to work with. They listen to what their customer is looking for and are extremely courteous, patient, knowledgeable, honest and reasonable. Craig provided several options matching our criteria and price range giving his opinion on the pros and cons of each. After looking at other jewelry stores there was no question we had found the right place and no hesitation on purchasing a ring which was absolutely perfect. Their selection of diamonds is unparalleled. They are committed to making their customers happy and were extremely easy to work with in addressing a few sizing and setting issues. We were so pleased with their professional and warm approach that 2 weeks later we were back to assist our son in selecting an engagement ring for his fiancée. We were treated with the same courtesy, customer friendly warmth, interest and support with this purchase as with the first. For both our son-in-law and son (and us) they made this experience extremely pleasant and memorable. Our future son-in-law was so impressed that he returned to buy another piece of jewelry for our daughter’s birthday. We can honestly say that there is no question where we will go for future jewelry needs. It will definitely be MCJ Jewelers. Our only regret is that we didn’t happen upon them sooner!

Friendly & knowledgeable staff Extremely competitive prices Unique jewelry pieces I will definitely shop at MCJ again I was shopping for an engagement ring. I got my 4Cs education online and looked at all of the jewelers row websites to look at what they had available. So I had an idea of what I was looking for and was ready to look at the real thing. So I went to several jewelry stores at the mall by my house as well as a"big box" jewelry store. Most of the places I visited had some pretty unfriendly and/or unknowledgeable staff. I found MCJ on places on my phone and it was close to my work. I walked in for a casual visit and was not pressured at all despite the fact that I was the only person in the store. Craig the owner did a great job of asking me questions to help guide me to the right loose diamond for my fiance and my budget (In fact he showed me a stone that met all of my requirements and was well below my budget). We then discussed several setting options including custom building one. I decided to go with a setting he already had at the store. Once again he showed me a setting that actually exceeded my fiances expectations and was once again well below my budget. My fiance compliments me every day for her beautiful ring and I have MCJ to thank for it.

After visiting and speaking with multiple jewelers around Northern Illinois and the Chicagoland area, I was left confused and disappointed. Then luckily I found the reviews online for MCJ Jewlers and Goldbuyers and decided to visit. Craig was positive, enjoyed teaching me about gems and stones, and made my engagement ring buying process an absolute delight. He was honest, open, and friendly. Serkais was a master jeweler, that took a 73 year old antique ring, and made it look new without losing its beautiful authenticity. Jane was friendly, encouraging, thoughtful, and her advice made the ring buying process that much more pleasurable. AND - she said yes and is in love with the ring!

I have had the good fortune of finding the most honest, creative jewelers I could find. I am a jewelry nut, collecting and always going to gem shows to find treasures. The jeweler Serkis designed a heart necklace from a photo, also redesigned my engagement ring with my own gold and diamonds, they are so beautiful. works of art. The owner was friendly and responded via email and the phone to make sure it was exactly as I wanted. You can trust these people, and sell your gold, or trade in to make gorgeous pieces. As long as they are in business, I will be their customer. A+++++

I recently brought in a favorite ring for repairs. A small diamond had fallen from its setting and the prong was damaged. I was quoted a very fair price and told that the repair would take a week. Six days later I was called and told the ring was ready. The repair was done beautifully and my ring looks like the day I bought it (over 30 years ago). My most sincere thanks to the staff who were complete friendly, helpful and professional. I highly recommend this jewelry store.

I found MCJ Jewelers and they are very honest and truly cared to make sure I got exactly what I was looking for. They said if my wife was not happy, they would refund my money. Bought a engagement ring here. Brought in a picture of the ring I would like Craig did not have it in the store that day, calls me the next day saying he found it and had it in the store for me to look at it, gave him a price range of the diamond I wanted he did a amazing job finding 4 in my range. I like these guys. The owner was very professional, and the repair guy was also very good at what he did. I dont care where everyone lives - everyone should come to MCJ Jewelers for their jewelry and/or repair needs. There is also a toy puppy on the couch that took me a while to realize it was fake - just as a warning before you stare at the couch for more than 10 minutes.
