Shopped here many times. Craig was a great help many of those times but it seems he is in great demand because he is honestly helping customers. I went to the McHenry store to purchase a 24" X 80" pre hung 6 panel pine interior door. On line sale price is $119.00 but at McHenry it is listed at $164.00. The same door in oak is only a coupe bucks more. I tried to find a "sales associate" but had no luck. It seems if you want to get a "sales associate" on the phone and to put off talking to you all you have to do is walk down an aisle looking like you need help or an answer to a question. I left the store went, had lunch with a friend and went back to the store to see if I could pick up the door for the sale price of $119.00. Same-O-Same-O, no "sales associate" on hand, desk phone ringing constantly while I looked for a "sales associate". I left the store and will go to Menards! (same door $89.00) Your "sales associates" could use some training from Craig (contractors desk) and I did not like walking thru a cloud of cigarette smoke at the lumber door. If you can have 5 to 6 "sales associates" outside sucking on chokers then I would think you could have at least one "sales associate" in the door department.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! My trip there is always wonderful but this one was extra special. I usually am asked if I needed assistance, yesterday wasnt any different except I was approached by John Girves who is the district manager. I felt extra special because he actually took the initiative to help. I believe this store goes above and truly has employees who care. I also had the chance to meet the new store manager. She is awesome and eager to assist and leave you happy. Thank you!!!!!

Trying to meet with the guy to design our kitchen. We have called ahead 3 times now. Each time they are "too busy" and cant meet with us. The other designer just looked at us and said she was going home in a few minutes two we can come back later. They just lost a 10K project/purchase.

Its a Home Depot. Tools, lumber, paint, hardware, garden supplies and light bulbs among many other products. Getting help can be hit or miss, with either everyone asking if you need help, or no one around when you need them.
