Moved to Crystal Lake almost two years ago. I bought a fixer-upper. I started shopping at Menards but the Generic tools kept falling apart and the last time I went the clerk was a bit rude and wouldnt exchange/refund the broken tool. I started going to Home Depot. They are always friendly to me & take a sincere interest in my projects which are many. The Electrical guy spent a great deal of time helping me with my ceiling fan & light. He also spent a long time explaining the wiring, conduit, etc.The woman in paint is always cheerful and knowledgeable when it comes to the mural Im putting in one room. The garden center was very nice and helpful the first year when I planted my arbor vitae trees. I have had a few times where I knew where the part was better than the employee but I was in the store nearly every day the first year. I did have a little trouble renting a floor sander but they definitely compensated me & smoothed things out.

We shopped around at local carpet stores when we replaced all the carpet in our home.We were able to purchase a high weight nylon carpet at a considerable savings. Home Depot send a measuring person out. We then returned to store to make final purchase based on the measurement and paid for the installers to move all the furniture as well.They use a sub contractor company for the carpet installation and did a very nice job. BEWARE!!! sub contractors gouged a large piece of furniture and we noted that on the receipt.Home Depot Crystal Lake, store personal resolved the issue over a couple months. Im very happy we had Home Depot behind us. Because the sub contractor company they use would not return one phone call .

This Home Depot rocks! First stop was paint with Mary. We were looking for paint to freshin up our cabinets. Mary not only pointed us in the right direction, she gave us a quick tutorial on how to paint them and got us everything we needed to get the job done right. Then it was off to cabinets where they graciously got down all the cabinets we needed from the top shelves. Wes helped us get them down and helped us to checkout. They told us all of our options because we could not take everything home in one piece. Overall, everyone was SUPER nice and helpful. I felt like after leaving I could take on anything the house can toss at me.

I have visited this location many times and on a number of occasions employees have shown the lack of customer service skills. Employees at this location have been flat out rude and almost seem annoyed that a customer would have question for them. These people need to either get another job that doesnt involve dealing with customers or the mangers need to do a better job of training, expecting and demanding customer service be a top priority! Its unacceptable and if this is not something that home depot cares to change at this location, Ill gladly take my business elsewhere.

Horrible customer service and very poor management! We are a local business and in any business there will be returns. The return credit we have is being denied because a different employee had made the return! Omg! Really? We will be boycotting hd from now on till management addresses this and does something about it! We will also be telling all our local customers and competitive businesses!

Melba was the best help that seemed to know what she was talking about and new more about the correct parts and the best looking product to complete my home and all the finished products fit as well as she said it would. Thank you to the Home Depot personal named Melba, Job Well done. ! I thought she was a great asset to Home Depot. !

Nice warehouse style home improvement store, helpful staff and project site delivery if you need it, small truck rental if you have more than you can fit in your vehicle but less than what would require a delivery. Extremely polite employees at the customer service desk, and a very easy return policy.

Larry in Flooring was helpful and kind. Though left alone to handle several customers waiting for assistance on the last day of a huge sale, he took care of everyone one at a time and gave you his full attention.

Not very plugged in to the customer. Hold times are extreme and people pass the buck. When in store asking about product, was treated like I was stupid.
