We didnt start until late morning. So, we looked at several places and picked Do-Rite Donuts near Intercontinental Hotel (moved from Westin Hotel) Again, wanted to beat the lunch hour crowd, so we arrived at Do-Rite Donuts at around 11:30am. Very small space with two long counters running along the perimeter of two walls; they have tables outside but just too cold to be dining alfresco. We ordered two Original chicken sandwiches with extra spicy as an option (.49 cents) and fries. Also, ordered two Old Fashioned Donuts, Original and Cinnamon. The sandwich weighed about a pound; a heavy for a chicken sandwich. A crispy fried chicken topped with finely sliced lettuce, pickles, and mayo on a fluffy brioche buns. I thought spiciness of the chicken was perfect, but my dining partner thought a little too spicy. The sandwiches were better than or equal to Federal Donuts in Philadelphia. Oh, Fries were just ok.. As we were eating, they were bring out freshly cooked donuts every few minutes to restock the racks. I always order the plainest item on the menu to gauge the quality of specialty item on the menu. Well, another two thumbs up for the donuts; crispy on the outside tender on the inside. I wanted to go back to Do-Rite Donuts and order another sandwich and donuts to eat while getting to the airport, but I had too much of "fun" foods on this trip. So, Ill be back again soon, Chicago

Considering we went here EVERY DAY during our mini-vacay to Chicago, I was hoping to rate Do-Rite with six stars. "Come for the donuts, but stay for the chicken sandwiches." I say this with great seriousness: I have NEVER--in my life--had a better chicken sandwich. The Original, The 31st Street, and the CBR are life changing. The freshness and crunchiness of the chicken combined with carefully curated toppings (like the spicy giardinera on the 31st Street), plus the softness of the fresh bread combine to make something truly special. And the donuts. Theyre legit amazing incredible, too. Also some of the best Ive ever had. So what we have here folks is an obesity problem. You walk into Do-Rite with the intention of ordering a chicken sandwich. But then, just feet away starting you down, is a case of brilliantly crafted donuts -- and you have to get one. Hell, you have to get TWO because you wont be able to decide. The coffee is good, too!

Delicious done right. Pistachio-Meyer Lemon was less sweet and drier cake than the others. Blueberry crumble was super sweet, my favorite, with streusel and injections of blueberry jelly throughout. The cake perfect. The last I tried was the chocolate cake with chocolate glaze that surprised me with its intense chocolatey sweetness. All great doughnuts catering to your preferences. Another time I tried an original non-spicy chicken sandwich. My fiancée said it was way better than Chik-fil-A and I would agree. Best chicken sandwich Ive ever had. Not sure if you dont like mayo how it would taste, but my guess is itd still be the best. We even took it to go and ate it about 20 min later, so I was impressed that it held up. Cant go wrong if you only Do-Rite.

Very disappointed in the false advertising here. Came to the shop with the entire family as it had been recommended to us for having great donuts. We arrived at around 4:30 to find only 4 donuts on display. When we asked when more would be out they said they stop making them at 3. When we questioned the gentleman at the cashier as to why their sign says “Fresh Donuts all day” he explained it is just for decoration. If you’re going to have a sign in front of your shop claiming something, it should be true. If you don’t want to make donuts all day (even though you’re a donut place) that’s fine, just don’t advertise that you do. That being said, the donut we had was good. Shame they don’t make them all day!

As an individual who had struggled to find good gluten free donuts, their donuts are amazing. I was expecting your typical gluten free donut: small, tasteless, and ridiculously expensive, but these were amazing, large, fluffy yet crunchy, delicious. Nothing about them said, "look at me you can tell Im gluten free!" I would definitely recommend them to anyone with a gluten allergy or preference. Another plus, a lot of times when something is gluten free, it also ends up being vegan and dairy free and everything else free, but these arent! So delicious and worth the price!

I confess...I like to treat myself to a donut after I leave an appointment with my doctor. It only seems fair. Also, the Northwestern Campus has the benefit of having the Do-Rite that serves chicken sandwiches nearby. The chicken sandwiches are fresh and homemade; no msg or fast food polishing added and I adore them for it. The donuts are tops too so if you cant make room for it all, dont worry, just have them bag a few to go. Theres a few seats and a restroom but it can get crowded in there. They do have covered patio seating though.

Best donuts Ive ever had. Great size, great texture, theyre full of content. I always order online and they have it ready for pickup. Sometimes they run out of some flavors, but you cant do-wrong with any of their donuts. So far every one that Ive had has been amazing. Their sandwiches are "Rite" on the money as well! Their fries are great! And if youre vegan, they have options! If youre in the mood for breakfast, they even have breakfast sandwiches. If you go to Do-Rite Donuts & chicken, I think youll leave satisfied!

Nearly restored my faith in God. When you enter Do-Rite Donuts & Chicken, it is immediately clear you are walking on holy ground. The donuts are perfect, the chicken sandwiches are perfect, even the coffee is perfect. And its all very reasonably priced and fills you up. Theres a reason the reviews are so good. One of the few places in the world that deserve a perfect score. No person may be perfect, but Do-Rite showed me that a donut can be.

Terrible. Delivery was 30 minutes late. I called and asked if they received my order, and the manager advised me my order was delayed since I placed my order "last minute." I placed my order at 6:30, it arrived at 8:30. When the order arrived, we did not receive the items we paid for. Plus, they failed to prepare one of the sandwiches correctly. I will never order from here again. Worst delivery experience ever.

I had the CBR spicy chicken sandwich and the buttermilk old fashioned donut. The sandwich was really well made, the chicken was incredibly crispy, the lettuce was fresh and the brioche bun was toasted perfectly. It just needed a bit more ranch. The donut was top notch, I can honestly say it is the best plain glazed old fashioned I have had in the city. Will definitely be back, and asking for extra ranch.

One of the best breakfast sandwiches Ive ever had: a bun that is soft yet durable enough to hold up to the mound of eggs, bacon, and cheese they packed into it. The three donuts I got were on point as well: big, not overly sweet, full of flavor, and very satisfying. Do-Rite did right by me, showing me that there are still good donuts to be found in this world - you just have to go to Chicago to get them.

Next to Stans donuts stands (pun intended) do-rite donut. Both locations make good donuts, where Stans wins on variety do-rite wins on taste (only slightly better in my opinion) but where do-rite really wins is with their chicken. Their chicken sandwiches are a gift from God and should be enjoyed by all. Highly recommend them and to get them spicy. Great little shop, wish it had more seating though.
