The staff here wasnt very helpful. They basically handed us the bikes and sent us on our way. They didnt provide any information on the area or a map. They didnt tell us that bikes arent allowed in the park. They didnt help with the helmets. I dont own a bike, so I dont know a lot about them; my seat was rotating side to side and I wasnt sure how to fix it. I had to go back to the place, after getting a block away, for help. The staff ignored me for 10 minutes before I finally interrupted one guy to ask for help. When we arrived, there was one other customer being helped. So, we sat down on a bench right next to register. Once the staff was done with the other customer, we were ignored. We finally flagged one of them down for help. The bikes were fine and we had a good time. Try one of the local bike places though, or maybe even another Bike Chicago location.

I reserved a week or two before coming to Chicago. I told them I was looking to ride 40-50 miles. I asked if I could go further than the Lakefront Trail. I was told that I could and that they would give me a route so i could go further than the end of the trail. I asked for a 50c Trek because Im 54". I was given a bike that was too big for me. I could barely reach the brakes. When I asked about the route after the end of the trail I was told they had none to give me. I went north on the trail which was populated with so many walkers, runners, cyclists of all kinds and skateboarders. It was a nightmare. I think if somebody wants to tool around on a tourist bike this place is fine. If you want a decent ride on a bike that fits this is not your place. The people who work there were nice and friendly.

TOP IDEE!

Impossible to contact through the phone number. I need to verify that they carry my frame size in stock before renting online since I am short and the ridiculously long phone message just keeps repeating over and over. When I do try to select Millennium Park, the message just says, "Thank You" and then hangs up even though according to their recording the store should be open. If I try and select another location, it just redirects the call back to the main menu. So I guess if you are just looking for a touristy ride, and are of average height, this place could work for you, but if you are a cyclist looking for something specific for a training ride while on vacation...good luck.

After a long and exhilarating but dehydrating bike ride along the Lake Front trail, a cool, refreshing Gatorade (my first one ever) really hits the spot! I had lemon-lime flavor because it seemed the most natural. By the way, even though it contains glucose-fructose (corn) syrup, I was not at all deterred because it naturally breaks down in the body to glucose (blood sugar) and fructose (fruit) sugar. All in all, a replenishing treat! Hope to return soon to Bike and Roll Chicago-Milennium Park! What a day! And the bicycles are super!!! I rode the Trek hybrid, which rolled like a charm!!!

I enjoyed a nice Segway tour of the lake area. The facility where you pick up your bikes or your Segway for a tour is in Millennium park, which is about a mile walk from Union Station. For students, it is $50 for a Segway tour and a bike rental. However, while the Segway guides were great, the customer service at the desk where you register and pay is less than adequate. Also, the bike I had wasnt maintained well (my back brake stopped working while I was crossing the road.)

I did the segway tour last nite and it was so much fun. I already know about most of the sites that we stopped at, but the tour guide was awesome and I learned a few fun facts about the different sites. This was my first time on a segway and it is a great way to see the city. The price was very reasonable too, for all their tours and rentals. This is also the only location where you can rent the segways and take them out on your own. I will definitely be doing that next time!

We had a great time on our evening segway tour a few years ago! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable in Chicagos history and had a great sense of humor. We went when there were Gale force winds, but it was still fun! I would suggest and age requirement. There was a young girl on our tour, around 10 years old, who had a terrible time controlling her segway, and eventually crashed into something. She didnt speak English either. Other than that, it was an awesome experience!

I was in Chicago for the first time in 35 years a few weeks ago. What an incredible city. Not having been on a bike in 20 years I was a little nervous but the folks at Bike & Roll were fantastic and the bike in excellent condition. It ended up being the highlight of my trip riding up and down the lakeshore and through the parks. I saw more and met more people than any other mode of transportation plus the added benefit of some exercise. BRAVO Bike & Roll.

Sunset Segway tour was fantastic. Matt, our guide, trained each of us individually on the Segways (it was our first time) and led us on a beautiful tour through Millennium Park, Museum Campus, and Soldier Field. It was awesome. Good exercise, fresh air, great views of the city. Amazing activity for locals and visitors alike. Really fun and safer than I expected. Tour lasted longer and went farther than I expected as well-- great value.

I & my husband had an amazing experience with Bike & Roll. Vincent was super nice & explain us very well how to use the segway. He always paid attention to everybody in the tour and made stops to make us pictures in many places. He also was a very good guide, telling us a lot of things about Chicago and all the places that we saw during the segway tour. I will recommend Bike & Roll to anybody!

We rented 2 Trek road bikes the 2nd weekend in July. The bikes were in great working order and functioned really well. The service was quick and we were rolling in short order. The mechanic John seemed to really know his bikes. We will definitely rent from them again. If you plan to ride the Lakeshore Trail north be prepared for hordes of people on the path. Try south for faster riding.

We specifically drove into the city to rent a tandem bike and enjoy the lakefront path. Bike and Roll is easy to find -- right in Millenium Park and we parked our car in the garage next door. In five minutes we were riding our tandem on the lakefront. What a fantastic way to experience the city! I thought the personnel were helpful and friendly and the price reasonable. I will return!
