I went into this shop to get a tune up on a mountain bike, stem replacement, and a flat tire changed. When I went inside, neither one of the two guys working there could be bothered to offer me a greeting. Instead I got a "What do you need?" then after explaining the issues with the bike one of them told me he was too tired to even look at it so he called the other one over who hesitantly examined the bike and then gave me a price quote. He took my name, phone number, and said it would be done the next day. Four days later, I hear nothing from the shop so I drive down there to see whats up. The bike was finished, but I guess these gentlemen couldnt be bothered to let me know. They fixed the flat and replaced the stem but did a shoddy job on the tune up. So I pay the bill, and take my bike home. The next day on the first ride since the repairs I notice a clunking noise and its much harder to pedal now even after switching to lower gears which were no problem before. Turns out the back tire which was the one repaired now wobbles very much and rubs the rear brakes no matter how I adjust them. Upon further inspection I see two spokes have broken off where they attach at the center of the wheel causing the tire to bulge out quite a bit in one section. My advice, steer clear of this place. They clearly dont want anyones business and their repair work isnt worth paying for.

We were going to Washington DC on a scout trip and were using bikes for transportation. I brought them four Walmart type bikes and was afraid they would be snooty about tuning them up. They couldnt have been more helpful. They got them all back to me the next day and they rode better than they did when new. I wound up buying a new bike for my son and felt it was priced very reasonably. They even stayed open late for me to pick it up as I was delayed on my way home from work. Several other scout families used them also. We were all very happy. Since we are not avid "bikers" I thought it would would be too expensive to buy a bike at a bike shop. Check these guys out before you buy at a big box.

While I didnt end up purchasing my bike from here, I have recommended the Chesterton Bike Station to my family and friends. The service is amazing and they are very knowledgable here. They also have a pretty nice amount of accessories that you can use to make your bike even better. The one thing I would say about this place that irked me a tiny is that they dont sell Trek and they make no attempt to trash Trek and push Treks competing brands. I understand that, I just wish it wasnt so obvious.

I found this establishment to be very helpful. They offered to tune up my wifes bike, instead of trying to get me to buy one of their new models, therby saving me considerable money. Although they did not call back to say the bike was ready, it was indeed repaired in 1 day. My service was apparently much better than this other reviewer.

These Guys are Awesome! I rented a road bike from them while in the area. It was well tuned and in good shape. They were helpful and reasonably priced! I will definitely be a return customer!!
