In the end, they gave me a decent price (not really a fair or good price) for a few 1oz gold coins I wanted to sell. They wanted to base the price on the spot price for gold instead of the well established price of those particular coins. When I offered to walk away, their price immediately increased by $40 per coin, so they knew they were trying to take advantage of me, so my advice is to be well established ahead of time in how much each item you want to sell to them should cost and be wary of their efforts to make a larger than necessary profit.

My boyfriend has bought me many pieces of Tiffany from this store for half the price!!! You would never believe it was Pre-owned. Everything came with the original bags and boxes.If only people knew what it cost they would be shocked. So for all you guys out there if you really want to impress the ladies stop by this store. Not only will you be impressed by all of the beautiful jewelry but also by the customer service. Ralph the owner is a kind genuine guy who knows his stuff.

i went to A-1 Jewelry and Coin to sell some collectable coins and paper money i inherited from my grandfather. The owner, Ralph, knew all the rare dates by heart. He showed great expertice in his ability to grade the condition of my coins and currency. Other places offered me just the gold and silver weight value for my coins. They didnt even know what the old rare paper money I had was worth. A-1 Jewelry and Coin is the top buyer in all of Chicagoland.

I absolutely love A-1! Ralph is a true professional and their prices over spot is very reasonable. I tried to do business with all the dealers around Northland Chicago, and A-1 is the best. Stay away from Gold Star and do your business here. They take the time to list their inventory for the day if you are interested in bullion, bars, or 90% coins. They give fair discounts for bulk purchases. I will continue to do business with them again. Ask for Ralph!

Ralph and John are two of the most honest guys in the business. They are always fair when you deal with them. There are a lot of scam artists in the business, but these guys have always done right by me. I completely trust them whenever I need to recycle my old jewelry. I never had a problem with A1 staff. The owners of the shop were friendly. I came in to sell some old jewelry and they were fair and seemed honest enough. The shop is small but very clean and safe. If you are looking for a place to sell you old jewelry I recommend visiting these guys. I visited a few other places that were sleazy or felt shady. Not A-1. Plus they have a convenient location to me.
