One more of the activities for our recently held family reunion was a casual bike ride in Stone Mountain Park. I was in charge of planning and coordinating this activity. During my Google search of bike rental facilities in the Atlanta area, I was pleasantly surprised to find a bike shop literally a few yards away from the entrance to the Park. From my initial contact, by phone, with the staff in late May 2017 to arriving at the bike shop, being fitted on the bikes, tips on safe riding, and returning to the shop after the ride, my group and I received nothing but superb customer service from each staff member. Preston, in particular, ptovided is with outstanding customer service. On the afternoon of Sunday July 30, 2017, my group of seven adults, of varying riding abilities, arrived for our appointment. We were met by Preston who welcomed us and immediately began selecting the bikes based on our height and level of comfort. After we were all fitted and our helmets were properly adjusted, we were given tips riding and safety tips. Seeing that several of us were a bit nervous about handling our bikes, the staff gave is tips, including proper pedaling, shifting gears, and braking. It was also very assuring when Preston offered to ride along and coach one member of our group who was struggling with handling her bike. In fact, he stayed with her for the duration of the ride. Towards the end of the ride, with much credit to Preston, she showed marked improvement and confidence in her bike handling abilities. On behalf of the Stephen family, I want to express our sincere gratitude to Preston and the staff at Aztec for their friendliness and for making our casual bike ride a wonderful and memorable experience for all seven of us. Kris is the person you want to help you through your bike journey. Whether youre new to biking and need some gear or experienced and cant quite fix your bike, Kris is your guy. I had a typical starter bike and my back tire was rubbing on the frame. Kris walked me through what was wrong and fixed what was almost unfixable. He treated my starter bike like it was a new road bike. I really appreciated that. Its been a month and I havent been slowed down. Hes into community, helping you find a bike that fits your needs and really cares that you have a great experience. Hes super down to earth and approachable -- which is really hard to find from an experienced biker. ANYTIME I need advice or thinking about buying a new bike, GO TO AZTEC CYCLES!!!!! Its worth it! Youll be a better cyclist because of it!

Thanks Aztec for the quick repair!!! I purchased my wifes Diamondback bike at a local big box sporting goods store. The first time she rode it the chain derailed and got tangled up under the rear cassette. I thought I could fix it but when I saw how deeply it was tangled into the cassette I decided to let a pro do it. Took it to Aztec and the mechanic got right to it - quickly removing the wheel, chain and then the rear cassette. He let me watch and re-learn about the adjustments so I could do it myself next time. GREAT to have a bike shop this close to Stone Mountain Park! You can walk to this bike shop from the park. Take the Stone Mountain walking trail from inside the park. Friendly competent service!

In the age of instant gratification, unlimited choices, and one click purchasing experiences, weve lost sight of business owners and employees truly caring about the customer. Everything is a metric and everything must be measured so, more often than not, the customer ends up losing out. Well yesterday certainly gave me hope that not all is lost and you can still interact with people in business that truly care. I had a problem with my bike and even though none of it was purchased at Aztec, Chris was more than happy to take the time to listen, fix, and make sure I was happy. I had the good fortune to meet the crew from Aztec cycles during the Atlanta streets alive event. In need of a bike repair, I pulled up to the Aztec cycles tent. Chris made the needed adjustment on my bike in seconds. Rather than charging me, he simply smiled and started talking about the great event and beautiful day for cycling. As I rode off Chris invited me to his shop and encouraged me to ride over at stone mt. You can bet I will be heading his way soon for any of my cycling needs. I dropped in because of the 5 star rating on Google with my daughters bike thinking I would have to leave it and pick it up in a few days ( I put a used rear derailleur on it and it needed a chain, derailleur to be adjusted, rear wheel warped, brakes needing adjustment, frame end a little bent.) He said, "if you have 25 or 30 minutes you can be on your way". Im like , wow., really ? 30 minutes later and good conversation while I watched, I was out the door and heading home with my 10 year old girl and her 21 speed bike. Thanks Guys.

I am not the outdoors cyclist, I have a Spin Cycle that needed putting together! Aztec has a great group of dedicated folks. The owner came to my home, set up the cycle and I was riding (indoors) by 7pm on a weeknight while it was raining outside! They are trustworthy, respectful, and honest about their services and prices! VERY REASONABLE PRICING!!! I will use them again!!!

This place was recommended to me by a person who sold me a used bike. Preston was working alone when I came, and he expertly juggled multiple clients in a friendly, unpressured way. This young man was very knowledgeable and exemplified great customer service the whole time. He happily answered all the questions my kids had. I will recommend Aztec Cycles to others.

I walked in with my sons bike in my hand and my son had his back wheel in his hand. It was a comical moment for a single mom trying to fix the bike by herself. very friendly are family oriented business.I love the atmosphere we laughed and talked while my sons bike was being repaired. Amazing shop but most of all, amazing people working in there. Chris and his staff are super duper. They will tell you exactly what your bike needs without pressure to pay for unnecessary work (unless you tell them you are looking to improve something on your bike). They also have the best prices for service Ive seen in the metro Atlanta area.

Great experience getting an intertube replaced on our jogging stroller. I spoke to a pleasant and helpful woman on the phone, and a young gentleman was very knowledgable, friendly, and efficient at replacing the intertube. I was in and out with a new intertube and three inflated tires in 15 minutes. Definitely recommend this shop!

Best bicycle store by far! Ive never been to a more friendly, helpful and understanding shop. My bike tire popped while I was riding and thankfully I was close to Aztec. I only had some spare change on me, but they accepted it and graciously repaired my tube, with a smile. Cant recommend this store strongly enough.
