Whey disappointed. I went to this establishment as it was on my way home from work and was extremely excited because they had a good variety of cigars and some new cigars I hadnt tried yet...unfortunately I was accused of stealing because I looked up a cigar on my phone and then put my phone back in my work bag. While shopping and browsing with cigars in my hand the older woman In the shop came in and asked me if Id like to pay for my cigars. I told her that I was still looking. She then responded that I needed to pay for all my cigars. I was confused and pointed to my 4 cigars that I was holding and stated again that I was still shopping. She then went on to state "I saw you put something in your bag so Im going to need you to take out what you put in your bag and pay for everything you have". Again I was confused and stated I had nothing in my bag but I had 4 cigars. The lady repeated again that she saw me put something in my bag and to please take what I put in out and pay for my cigars. At this point I realized she was talking about my cell phone which I explained that it as my phone not a cigar and she repeated her previous request again. At this point I was embarrassed and upset that someone would infer that I stole something. I handed the cigars to the lady and proceeded to take everything out of my my purse to show that Im not a thief, told her that I would not bipedal buying anything from this store and to have a nice day. I later called the establishment to speak to the manager about the occurrence. The manager turned out to be none other that the older woman who accused me of stealing. She of course apologized and tried to state that she didnt accuse me of stealing or ask me to take all my things out of my bag. Asking me to pay for "all of the cigars" is inferring that you think I cook something. The manager went on to Tell me that if I use my phone in a store I should keep it out to avoid situations like this In the future. informed the manager that this is 2016 and people have purses and bags and they check their phones all the time. No one is going to do that. If theft is such an issue they should lock their humidor or put a sign on the door stating no bags allowed. Beware of the old lady watching you at the store. She might confuse a cell phone with a cigar and infer that youre stealing too....
