I took my laptop to this place to have Windows 8 reinstalled on it and paid $50. I got the laptop back and it worked just fine until I installed Emsisoft anti-virus on it. Now, when I try to launch any programs, they do not launch, nor can I uninstall anything! I took my laptop back to the location and explained what happened and was told that I had to pay $25 in order to have Windows reinstalled again because it was "something that I did" to cause this to occur. I know a lot about computers and one thing that I do know is that installing an anti-virus program will not cause programs on the PC to not launch, not even one. I have Emsisoft installed on all PCs in my house and have absolutely no issues on any of them. Emsisoft out ranks free programs like AVG and Malware Bytes (anti-virus programs that you can download for free on the internet, that Computer City installs on your PC when they reinstall Windows). It is a premium AV program that costs money and ranks up there with McAfee and other AV program so to be told that I caused the Windows to stop working because I installed a premium AV program is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. When you pay them and sign your receipt, the receipt says that there is a 30 day warranty on the service....the catch is...you have to pay $25 for it because you will be blamed for anything that goes wrong with it. I could have stood in the store and argued with the lady about how much I know about PCs and so forth, but that would have gotten me no where...instead I want to advise and warn others to go elsewhere and do not waste your money here. I work VERY hard for my money and have absolutely nothing to throw away...not to mention the time that it took me to drive back and forth to the store...something that I can NEVER get back. No disrespect to the lady that worked on my PC, because she was polite and nice. However, I KNOW that my AV program did not cause this issue and an infuriated that I was going to be charged $25 to reinstall when the receipt clearly advises that they have a 30 day warranty on their work. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AT THIS PLACE. This place is located in a shopping center with Papa Johns, a barber shop and a clothing store. People depend on computers more than ever nowadays and there are a lot of people and places that compete for your time and money - so take your time before you spend your money somewhere. I did and thought this was a good place because they have a storefront, as opposed to others that I called and they worked from their homes, or online. If you have $50 to blow (and maybe $75), by all means...but if you value your time and money...skip past this place. If I could rate this with 0 stars I would

Bought a USED Dell Laptop here for $350 due to needing it ASAP for a new job (probably not even worth that). Within 1 month of owning it, the battery stopped working so I had to plug it in everytime i used it. Then about a week later Windows would not load at all, and I work a 9am -9pm job 6 days a week so they said theres nothing that they can do to come pick up laptop and fix within the 30 day warranty. Took it back for a diagnostic and they determined the "Harddrive crashed" and Id have to pay another $100 to put in a new harddrive, and then order, and replace the battery for $75. This place is a complete rip off, because you can literally go to a Best Buy and get a BRAND NEW Laptop for $300. Like another gentleman on this review forum said: I work VERY HARD for my money, and basically wasted $400 here and my time to try to see if I could fix and resell and these people said they would buy back the computer for $25.00. HA! When I came back in upset about it, the older lady there was insulted that I said I got ripped off. The nerve! Ill continue to spread the word about this place and make sure no one in my circle or people around the area NEVER GO HERE so they dont get ripped off!

I found this store from an ad in a newspaper advertising a free diagnostic of my computer. When I called the store they were friendly on the phone and told me to bring the computer to the store for a free diagnostic. When I arrived at the store I was greeted fast by a friendly worker. I told them my computer wouldnt turn on. They said they would check my computer completely and then call me with the results. The same day they called me and told me I had a bad hard drive and that the cost to repair was more than it was worth. I said I would just pick it up. When I returned to the store for my computer, my computer was ready to be picked up and the cost was $0. They asked what I would do with my computer and i said idk. They offered me a store credit for my computer and showed me refurbished computers they had for sale. I found a better computer with twice the capabilities of my computer for half the cost to repair my computer. I am using my refurbished computer to submit this review. The service was fast and friendly. Im happy with my refurbished computer and recommend this store to anyone looking to support a local store without sacrificing value or customer service.

I disagree with "Joseph Meis". He must be a complete and total imbecile. I took my laptop there and let me say they were very helpful and knowledgeable. I used to take my laptop to other shops, including Best Buy, which charges way too much, even to just diagnose. Come to find out i had a problem with my hard drive, and they had me up and running in no time, and way less expensive than what Best Buy wanted to charge me.. I highly recommend these guys....great customer service and quick turn around time. And not to mention saving me some money too! I tell all my family and friends, and have even received discounts for referrals. Dont take my word, go see them yourself and you will find out how great they are!

highly recommend this store to you. my computer was down and I brought it to them. they are friendly and helpful, not just fixed the problem, saved the files I need, but carried out the warranty. what surprised me is the young gentleman cleaned up my laptop like brand new one. they price is fair and people are nice. thank you very much.

Horrible service... If your computer breaks, dont bother taking it here. They will make you wait for a month to realize it is a problem they cant fix. Also, if they take apart your computer, they will not put it back into one piece, the way you brought it. Dont waste your time or money.

The worst service. They dont know how to talk to customers. They keep the laptop for weeks without diagnosing the problem. Dont ever take your laptop there for fixing. Its better to throw your laptop in a pit rather than to give them for service.
