I went to the Duluth location to get two batteries for my key fob. The cashier grabbed the battery I needed which was a double pack for $8.99. The cashier tells me hes going to put the battery in to make sure it works. I asked why wouldnt the battery work? He said he just wanted to make sure and if it didnt work then I wont have to pay for it. He goes outside and hits the door lock on the remote and it works. I told him I have two keys. Walking back in the store he says if you pay in cash I can give you my discount. I replied I only have a card. He says if you can pay for one in cash you can use my discount. I thought that was strange but I replied again I only have a card. He rings me up and says my total is $33 and some change I said WHAT the batterys were $8.99 he said I know but I installed them and I told him I didnt ask you to you said you put the battery in to make sure it works. I then said you what give me one and I will go somewhere else. My car had already not started because the battery went dead so I really needed the battery. After I said I will go somewhere else he says hold on and he starts playing around with the register numbers. He says your total is $21 is that better I caught on to what he was doing which was being shady. I said fine and paid. I called the store the next morning and told Clay the assistant store manager what happened . He told me to send the receipt which I did by email. The cashier did not ring me up for batteries he rang me up for two installs for $9.99 . He assured me he was going to handle the issue and that paying $33 was not normal charge for key fob install. Especially when I did not ask him to do something I could have easily done myself. Clay asked when can I come to the store to get my $10 back. I said I can come mostly likely today after 5. I get to the store and while Im parking the shady cashier is walking out into the parking lot and ask me was I going into the store and he said something about a phone. I said no I came to see Clay and he told me Clay was not there. I thought it was pretty strange for Clay to know I was coming in today after 5pm to meet with him and have the same employee I have a issue with there. I felt like maybe it was so he can confront the employee while i was there which would have been awkward. He had my statement by email and over the phone plus a copy of my receipt. the cashier was all smiles while walking onto the parking lot like everything was all good. Im thinking the guy was suspended or something for doing shady stuff by asking me to pay cash to get his discount. Then overcharge me. It takes 10 seconds to put a battery in a key fob and you want to be slick and charge me $9.99 for each key play $8.99 for the battery. Anyhow I get to the store and Clay is not there. I wasted my time at this store spending gas and time to head to Duluth when I stay in a different city. This place is shady and the cashier is obviously asking for cash to get his discount so he can steal money. A blind man can see that. And that is very uncomfortable for him to ask that. Clearly there was nothing done to he cashier because he is still there. Overcharging customers and stealing from the register. I will make a formal complaint with the corporate office. Stay away from this location.

When the completely untrained young lady at the Johns Creek / Medlock Bridge location could not open my hood, let alone install the car battery that they sell & advertise to install, I took the battery that I purchased to the Pleasant Hill location. The manager, Eric, at the Pleasant Hill Duluth Ga location of Batteries Plus was nothing short of amazing. He quickly installed the battery without hesitation & with an abundance of professionalism & kindness.

I ordered an car battery that Battery recommended when i put my car information. I picked it up and tried to install it but the size was wrong and i took it to return it. A worker refunded money holding restocking fee. I wasted my time for wrong direction. Even if I finally got all money back, I had very bad experience.
