I bought a car from Dyer and Dyer back in December, a 2010 XC60. I found the car on line and planned to purchase the car without financing. Rob Bittner contacted me via email - and was extremely persistent asking when I would be in - in spite of me telling him that I was out of town due to a family illness. When I did go in, Rob was there to greet me. We test drove the car, during the test drive, he was very persistent with offering me finance deals. When I told him that I planned to purchase with cash, he immediately ended any attempt at customer service. I ended up waiting for more than 4 hours to complete the purchase - for no apparent reason. At that point, I shared my concerns with customer service and Rob showed up at my office with a $50 gift card to apologize. To me, he is the stereotypical used car salesman, slimey and condescending and rude. But, I didnt think I would see him again, so I just wrote it off as a bad experience. Jump to now - I have had the car for about 7 months and in general it is a great car. However, I have found a couple of rather small issues that Rob should have mentioned but never did. For example, the car has DVD players in the back seat. It is not a feature I would typically use, however, in planning a trip with my nieces, we decided to check it out. I realized that I am missing the required remote to make the DVD players work. I was back at Dyer and Dyer this week for routine maintenance, and inquired about the remote. I was directed to talk to Rob - his answer was basically "too bad" and if I wanted a remote, it would be at my own expense. The navigation system does not read the discs provided - too bad for not figuring it out sooner... If you go to Dyer and Dyer - be sure you check everything out and ask a lot of questions, dont trust that they will do the right thing - because the wont. Avoid Rob Bittner - he is the worst of the bunch. I will not be returning - not for service, not to buy other cars and will not recommend Dyer and Dyer to others.

Update: BEWARE Since I stopped taking my car to Dyer & Dyer, I have not had one issue with my car. In my previous post I mentioned that I have spent thousands of dollars at this dealership fixing all of the "required repairs". I had to bring my car in about once a month with something new that was going wrong. I strongly considered selling my car because of all the issues. I stopped going to Dyer & Dyer, and somehow all the issues stopped. Other people have commented with a similar experience. Youve been warned. Original Post: I had my car in for its 67,500 mile service on November 4th. I paid close to $500 for this service, including a repair that needed to be made. ONE week later I started to hear a faint, but different kind of sound when I braked from the back tires. I assumed that I had gotten something on the brake pads (mud, water, etc.) and that it would wear off, but I kept a close eye on it. Over a few days the noise got louder and started to sound like my brake pad was scraping against the ground. I decided to try a very highly recommended private mechanic to check things out. Turns out my rear brake pads were COMPLETELY gone, and the scraping sound was my brake pads scraping against my rotors. My car had a full service with dyer & dyer TWO WEEKS PRIOR. I have always been very diligent with taking care of my car. Ive spent thousands of dollars at Dyer & Dyer for services and repairs, but thought it was worth it to keep my car running smoothly. If they had even bothered to check my rear brakes, I would have saved the hundreds of dollars in parts and labor cost to replace both of my rotors. I will NEVER bring my car back to Dyer & Dyer. I found someone who is much more reliable, much less costly, and who actually knows what theyre doing.

Im writing this to review my experience at Dyer & Dyer Volvo. I was recently in a total-loss accident and was looking for a replacement Volvo. Happily I found a great vehicle locally at Dyer & Dyer. I contacted them through their website and received a prompt response from Sedat Karaca. He verified the vehicle I wanted was still available. At my request he also ran my credit application to get me pre-approved for the Volvo special financing. I showed up the next day, the car was waiting for me, washed, fueled, and exactly as described. There was another pleasant surprise, the dealership had just reduced the price of the car, and though the reduction didnt show up online, Sedat gave me the reduced price. There was no haggling needed, as the car was priced very competitively (even before the reduction), had low mileage, only one owner, and certified pre-owned (Volvos CPO program is one of the best). I wrapped up the deal fairly quickly with Sedat, and was handed over to John Aguirre, Dyer & Dyers finance manager to finish the paperwork. For the lack of a better description, the man is a machine. He had the paperwork all lined up and ready to go. He explained the purpose of each of the forms needed and helped make this otherwise tedious process, quick and entertaining. Overall, this was a very positive experience. The sales area is very comfortable and low stress. While waiting for some of the processes, I helped myself to some coffee in their customer lounge. All in all we completed the purchase in under an hour. The staff was efficient and friendly. There was now attempt to up-sell or get me into needless coverages. I know that I will be going back to Dyer & Dyer for my next Volvo. Right now, Im having too much fun with my 2014 S60.

I took my car in for a oil change and everything was fine with my car on the way to the dealership. During the oil change service, the service Rep came back with a list of repairs needed. One of the repairs was that I had a sever coolant leak in my radiator. So I tell the service Rep that I will work on getting the leak fixed later. Being that I didnt have a coolant leak on the way to the dealership, I didnt take it that serious. To make a long story short, I left the dealership with only a oil change service completed. I starte out to go home thinking everything was ok. Remind you I live in fayetteville ga and the drive to the dealership is at least 40 minutes which is located in chamblee. Within 10 minutes of driving home, my low coolant light message came on and my smoke was coming from my car on the highway. I had to get of the highway and pull into a nearby gas station. There was a mechanic conveniently at the gas station. He look at the leak and determine the leak was coming from the side wall of the radiator. He also stated that it appears the plastics section on the radiator was hit. I had to get my car towed to a trustworthy mechanic I know to replace my radiator for $200. But dyer and dyer quoteed me $900. CUSTOMER BEWARE! The mechanics at this dealer is intentionally causing mechanical issues with people car to get customers to spend more money. I make this statement because there is no way I can drive from fayetteville ga. To chamblee and have no issues. But as soon as I leave the dealership my car overheats and spring a leak??? Thats impossible!
