2016/11/9 forgot to final update - They did respond to me after leaving the review, and I spoke with the general manager. He was cordial, so no complaints on him. Just sad it took 17 phone calls and 8-10 months to talk to him. The end result was they saw my reviews and wouldnt do anything to make it right. Be careful of poor rhetoric. When a company fixes their mistake, they did not do you a favor. I understand the need for a company to protect themselves, but that doesnt excuse selling unsafe vehicles...All done. :) If you read the crazy long post below, youre a trooper! Stinks its so long - but I want to be informative :). I get it - every dealership has risk. However, if you buy a car here, make sure you get it independently inspected - make sure to check everything and write everything down Look for things they may be intentionally hiding. Theres other things i could write they did that ends me as a future customer - but i outlined their customer service and faulted action. If youd like to know more, post back and Ill give you the full run down in an email! Happy car hunting! Sadly, this dealership sold me a vehicle that could have hurt or killed my family. I wish I could say they at least discussed the issue, and then said no there is nothing they will do - but they didnt even do that. After 15 calls of "well get back to you (Eric - Customer Service (CS) Mgr, " "let me talk to Danny (Eric , Sally Mooney (former internet mgr)," "I will call you back within an hour - DeShaun (CS)," totaling 5 mgrs including GM and Ass.GM - I think it shows their disregard for customers in general. Also - Eric was more concerned that I posted online - and told me I should not have, but should have kept calling (16 times?) Also, they dont respond to BBB. Im trying State Attorneys office, so Ill keep you posted! :) At this point, the issue is about a company selling vehicles that could be dangerous, and not caring about it. Rundown: 4-2-16, rotated tires installed by dealer at Discount Tire. DT showed dealer had washers on hubs to space out wrong sized rims (w/o they hit calipers), and was serious liability issue (Washers are uneven and can push off the lugnuts of your tire). I had rims put on and called CFL to swap back out out, etc. Following rundown of calls: Sat 4/2: 9:55 AM: Ryan Fols – Sales mgr – cant help but pass to Gen Sales Mgr Danny Jackson. 10 AM: Service - call Mon. Sat 12:35 – Ryan F– will pass on again. Sat 2:15 – Danny Jackson called. Will get back to me Monday. Mon. at 3:05 – called front desk - "Danny Jackson would return my call. " 5:30 – voice m for Danny - Pls tell me if he will call back. I will try Eric Ford – Service Mgr. Tue: Matt Lane – quick lane service mgr called back after I called! Said washers are OK as spacers, Discount Tire was upselling and lying – washers are debatably safe based on service centers opinion. Asked to bring in to dealer to verify safety. They do 120-point inspections - if they sold it it’s safe. (After 1 wk of orig. purchase, horn did not work and tires were oversized - damaging wheel well.) Called 3rd party metro wheels - agreed with dealer over phone, but wanted to see the spacers first. Upon viewing said, "These are NOT spacers – these are regular washers and are absolutely unsafe.” VM for Danny Jackson and Matt Lane to pls call back. No response. Called and emailed Gen. Mgr - Barry Jackson - no response. End of April - Sally Mooney contacted me (former internet mgr). Would investigate and call back. 2 days later - No action taken yet, would call back. 5 days later - she quit. Eric 4-29 - Customer Service Mgr. - took down info. Would talk to mgt. Said I should not have posted review. Called 5-2 - Eric will call back. 5-4 - Got Deshaun instead - Customer service. Will call back within the hour after talking to mgt. No call back. Done calling. This is customer service from 4 different dpts. including top mgt. Its a buy at your own risk, dont care if you get hurt type service.

My experience with Cherokee Ford in Alpharetta was great! When unforeseen issues popped up, they stayed true to their word and responded appropriately. On Jan 26th, 2015, Zach responded to my online inquiry. I let him know I was looking at another vehicle, same make and model, and let him know what my offer was. He said we could be within range, and asked me to come see their vehicle, which I did. When we saw that the potential was there for a deal, I was offered an overnight test ride so that the lady could have the opportunity to check it out as well. I was also encouraged to have the vehicle checked out by my own mechanic. *The unforseen issues- during my overnight, the check engine light came on. Oh great! All the fears and worries of buying a used car set in. I communicated with Zach who asked if I wanted to bring it back. I told him it seemed fine and I would stop to have the code read. When I did, it was an exhaust part that would probably need replacing at this mileage anyway. (The reality was that I was looking at a high mileage Honda). Still uneasy about the situation, as it was happening on my test drive, I was assured by Zach that the dealership would make it right, IF we decided we were still interested. He also encouraged me again to have it checked out independently, which I did. Having it checked out, the results were "aside from the part you already know about, everything looks great!" This was extremely reassuring and it was clear that the dealership had done what they had said, and had gone through the vehicle thoroughly and done fluid changes, etc. Some hesitation remained when we all met back at the dealership together. Were they really going to "make this right"? Or were they going to pressure me to buy a vehicle that I was still only hesitatingly interested in? When any pressure could have turned this situation south, I did not feel pressured. They were sensitive to what we had been through and fair in negotiation. They are replacing the part today, and I will be picking the vehicle up later. Zach (Salesperson), Eddie (Sales Mgr.) and Finn (finance) quite satisfactorily turned an uneasy used car situation into not only a workable deal within my budget, but one in which my faith in the car and dealership was restored, and I left feeling as though I was certainly treated fairly and respectfully. Without disclosing it until everything was decided and done, my family will likely need 2 other vehicles this year. What could have been a turn and run situation, will instead likely result not only in this deal, but future business and referrals as well. When great service is encountered, it deserves recognition. This was exemplary service, not to be understated. My sincere thanks!

My 06 F-250 Powerstroke Diesel wouldnt start one morning, so I had it towed here. I drove up there to give them my information and reason for having my truck towed in. I was advised that they will take a look at it and give me a call to let me know what they find out. A few hours go by and I received a call stating my head gaskets were blown; thus the reason it wouldnt start. Needed new head gaskets and possibly new heads. If heads could be resurfaced - $4,700.00; if new heads are needed - $9,500.00, but wouldnt know until they can breakdown the motor; I needed $500.00 up front for a "breakdown" fee, which I agreed to pay. I called my brother in Nashville who has worked for several Ford Dealerships as an ASE Certified Master Tech, strictly on diesels for 15 years. He told me ridiculous prices. He got me a quote with two new heads for the price of resurfacing them, which I opted for the two new heads. I called Cherokee back and told them Im not getting the repairs done there and will pick up my truck the next day. I was told they will need another $500.00 for putting it back together; I told them to dont put back together, put the parts in the truck or in the bed as I was having it towed to another place. They told me they will leave it inside for the night with the parts in the truck. I get there the next day right before opening and I see my truck sitting outside!! Why would you tell me that youre leaving it inside if your not going to; its not a big deal but still the point. I took my truck here a few times before this happened for oil changes and routine maintenance stuff (breaks, rotate tires, etc.), and they always seem to find more stuff wrong with the truck resulting in three times as much as I planned on paying. That truck is my baby and anything it needed I would have done so I know its in tip top shape. I could go on for hours about this place and how they make it seem like you need to get this fixed right away or youre car is going to blow up. Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone after this happened and I found out what I could get the same work done at a Ford Certified Dealership for half the price. Im sure they got me a few times with stuff it didnt need, but you learn from your mistakes. I understand wanting to make money, but dont become a pig.
