I purchased a 05 Softail. I love my bike. But I had read numerous articles and forums on problems with 02-06 cam tensioner pads failing (due to faulty material) and grenading the motor. Mine was right in the mileage of most failures and decided to be proactive in checking it out. I didnt have all the tools necessary specialty tools "IF" it was found the shoes were bad. So I went to Robert, owner of Rebel Customs for advice. He offered to do the basic inspection for a price I couldnt pass, and "IF", the shoes were beyond limits or showing failure I could apply the inspection price to replacement bill. Bottom line... Inner shoes ready to go. Had him do the S&S upgrade to gear drive and cams. Tremendously happy. This is my go to...and referral shop, for Harley and aftermarket parts and repair.
