Rob Flat did my tattoo and I seriously cant say enough great things about him or his work. The shop is extremely clean and is very easy to locate. While most shops Ive been to kind of have a grungy look this one actually is very classy and a little more decorated than most. Not only does Rob do tattoos, he has also started painting and has a nice little collection that you can purchase in the shop. But on to my tattoo..... I originally got some script while I was in Hawaii and to be perfectly honest it was horrible. The work was subpar and faded. However, it had meaning to me and I really wanted it fixed. I now have a gorgeous lion where there script was. Its beautiful and majestic and everything I could have ever of hoped for. Rob didnt rush into my tattoo either. Instead he took the time to listen to what I actually wanted and I felt like it was just about the money to him. Its art and he is an artist. He obviously loves what he does and it shows in his work. So thank you again for the work Rob. Second Tattoo done by Rob and again its amazing and beautiful. He put together a Beautiful Georgia and Betsy Ross flag tattoo, and it looks amazing. His work is second to none! If you give him some ideas he can draw up exactly what you want and itll be one of a kind.

Im so happy with my tattoo. Rob Flat did an amazing job -- he is a truly talented artist. He brought my tattoo vision to life, and it only took him a few minutes to come up with a beautiful design. I described to him what I wanted and showed him one picture for an example, and from there he created something very special and perfect for me. I love the shading and fine details -- I cant stop looking at it! He was a super chill and friendly guy and made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout the whole process. He took me as a walk-in, and from design to completed tattoo, it took less than two hours. Price was excellent for what I got. He also has a lot of other cool and unique artwork in the shop that is available to purchase. The shop was clean and comfortable with good music and decor. I would highly recommend going here for your tattoo, especially if you are a first-timer and are nervous or unsure what you want. These guys are really cool, knowledgeable, friendly, and amazing artists. So happy I found this place!

So Im not one to write reviews nor am I one to get a tattoo (haha), but after today Ive done both!! Nick was so fantastic that I wanted the world to know! Never having a tattoo before I was so nervous but he took just the right amount of time to address my concerns and made me feel comfortable and confident that I made the right choice! I know I am a difficult client in that Im an untrusting control freak so its hard for me to relinquish control but he exceeded every expectation! Its important to trust your artist! To top it all off, not only am I very particular but I came in wanting a replica of a painting my grandpa did for me (no pressure there) with an added saying and he Nailed it!! I am beyond happy!! Rob and Nick were both very welcoming which is helpful because I was already flighty. The whole experience was great! I Highly recommend them!

Visited Tried and True with a friend as walk ins last Friday. Heidi did a fantastic job on my friends tattoo, a small script on her upper back. She was very helpful in picking out the right font as well as size and placement. I flipped through her portfolio while I was waiting for my artist to prepare and was very impressed. Colby did my tattoo. I gave him a basic idea of what I wanted and trusted him to come up with something awesome. I find I get a better tattoo when I let the artist do what they want compared to asking for something really specific. I was very impressed with the draft, and the final result blew me away. A last minute decision to get tattoos that night ended up being a great experience thanks to the staff at Tried and True. I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality art and service.

We had the very best experience here today. My daughter had her ears pierced at Clairs (mistake) and the post actually slipped inside the earring hole because it was too tight and not long enough. We went to urgent care but they were not very nurturing and further traumatized her by wanting to give her a shot to numb the ear - we left. When we got to Tried and True my child was so freaked out but Darla calmed her but was honest about what needed to be done. After spend quite a bit of time reassuring her she was able to remove the earring. I was so relieved and my daughter left so happy. She even removed the earring from the other ear and replaced with a much better earring. Wish I would have thought to take her to a professional from the beginning. Please dont trust sales people with your child.

Just had tattoo cover up work started by Rob Flat yesterday. It was my first experience getting a tattoo at tried and true - was referred by a friend. Rob was really great to work with in planning my tattoo and he handled my lofty requests like a professional. Appointment started on time, tattoo parlor has an artistic and vintage vibe and very clean. Rob was very meticulous in getting the tattoo sized perfectly for my back and the cover up. But really - his work speaks for itself! Though my tattoo isnt finished, I am already in love with it! The thin outline is perfect, symmetry is spot on, texture in colored area is amazing!!! I cant stop looking at my tattoo! Rob is an awesome artist and I cant wait to heal so I can go back to finish my piece. Highly recommended!!

I have a tattoo that I had done several years ago, which the tattoo artist completely disregarded my vision. Thus, I waited a few years before continuing my piece.
