Just completed my first of many tattoo’s with my new friends at Ink and Dagger and honestly I’m having a hard time putting into words how completely satisfied I am with every aspect of the experience. From my initial contact via email until the second I walked out the door Russ and his staff bent over backwards to ensure I was being taken care of in every way. This included making recommendations on where to stay and eat during my time in Decatur, to including me in the lunch order at the shop when we took a break. I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to be tattooed by Russ, and while I don’t think there’s anything I can say that hasn’t already been said about the unbelievable high quality of his technical skills and artistic vision, I would really like to share with anyone who has not had the pleasure of working with him that he will take the time to sit down with you to explore your ideas, and in the most gracious manner possible help you turn them into a piece of art that you’ll proud of for the rest of you life. If your interested in getting a tattoo in clean shop with unbelievable atmosphere, by some of the finest artiest you will find anywhere please regardless of where you live do yourself a favor and consider Ink and Dagger for your next tattoo. You absolutely will not be disappointed.

This post is long overdue on Google. If I could change my rating to 6 stars I would. The shop is clean, bright, and has a wonderful vibe. Russ is the consummate professional. He truly Listens to the clients ideas and desires, shares with them what makes for good ink (not every drawing is good ink) on this note I must say from personal experience, he does more than share whats good ink and what isnt as far as design, he explains why so you feel confident in the refinement of your piece. He also explores the mesh between artist and client. If he feels there is a better match in the store he will recommend that the client consider that artist. Why can he do that? Because he surrounds himself with outstanding artists. Talk about putting your client first!! Russs Reputation and Ability as an artist? Make NO Mistake he is sought out internationally for a reason. Forget your reality shows like Ink Master ... You will meet a True Ink Master in Russ. BTW I am not related to Russ and this review has not been posted by an 18year old getting his first ink. I am 51 and have invested some significant $$$ into my back piece. Hands Down Ink and Dagger will make you a believer in the end.

Jason is not good for business. His work up of what I wanted was perfect. I cant hate on the art at all. However, he went too deep while tattooing and the ink ran under my skin. It looks like a perpetual bruise. I consulted other artists to be sure it was his error (mostly because I liked him and his work so much that I wanted him to do my half sleeve but also because I didnt want to blame him for something that wasnt his fault). When it was confirmed several times that he went too deep, I went up there to talk to him. Since I want a half sleeve anyway, no biggie, lets work something out, right? This guy looks at my arm and says "yeah, I dont know what happened. But Ill fix it for $50." I know hes green in the game, but being a stand up guy when you mess up must not be a part of his apprenticeship. I recommend the shop and the other artists. Naturally, I would be a fool to go back though.

Ive been working with Eddie Stacey for the past few months on my sleeve and hes been nothing short of amazing. Not only is his work beyond exceptional, Eddie has a way of leveling with you to ensure what youre getting is what you want. Their prices arent high; theyre fair. If you want quality work you need to be willing to pay the artist. You can take your chances going to a sketchy tattoo shop or you can head to Ink and Dagger and get the piece of mind knowing youre going to walk out with a gd masterpiece. If they dont respond back to you its probably because you lack originality or its because its not worth their time to stick a frog above your crack. These guys (and gals) need people who are unlike the rest, someone with concepts bigger than their own. The staff is great and the artists are brilliant. I recommend Eddie all damn day.

If you are debating about choosing this place for your first tattoo, debate no more. I had my first tattoo done with Brandon. I bombarded him with questions and he gladfully answered everyone in great detail. We took MUCH time to work out the piece i wanted. Brandon is very talented and has a great amount of patience. Russ was also walking around giving advice. Unlike many other tattoo parlours, ink and dagger is focused on the final product instead of what the tattoo is going to look like right away. Russ and Brandon collaborated on picking which colors would look best after my skin was healed. I was the first person to get tattooed in their new location. The place is EXTREMELY clean and Sterile. After my tattoo was done, Brandon scheduled me for a free touch up and wanted to see the final product. A+++

Unprofessional. Paid commission for Race Dylan to work up a piece. Despite not paying much attention to my ideas, he exaggerated his enthusiasm to design a piece based on our consultation and I was looking forward to seeing his rendition. His portfolio seemed very promising. Then, delay after delay on the artwork, with little to no communication, while put on a 3 month wait list. Ultimately, he cancelled my appointment (called out sick when I was scheduled for basically the entire day). He then faded off, giving up entirely on communicating with me despite the fact that I had already given him money to design a piece. Not even worth the hassle of arguing for my money back. I received absolutely NOTHING but a waste of my time and money.

Well done atmosphere. Price is extremely steep which is funny, cause thats not my issue. Their customer service is. I sent an email 5 months ago requesting an artist to do my sleeve. I havent had a response yet not that Im expecting one now. So naturally I call up there to discuss. I was hung up on and put on hold, took 3 phone calls to receive the response "send us an email through our site" on a separate occasion I had requested 2 months prior an artist asking if he could finish my piece (one that he started.) I called the shop twice and was even told by the artist he will find an opening. He left me hanging and ignored my reach outs. How unprofessional, havent returned since.

My experience at this tattoo shop was excellent especially after receiving horrible service at a previous shop. I was a walk-in and they assisted me promptly and got me serviced right away all while staying within the budget that was quoted to me from another shop. I live out of state but if Im ever in the market for another tattoo while visiting GA, Ink and Dagger will be the 1st place I come to. My artist was excellent (Wendall) and was very detailed. My tattoo is healing nicely and I have received several compliments. I am truly satisfied with Ink and Dagger. In addition to great customer service the facility was clean, professional and comfortable!
