Dr. Small is very attentive and cares about my health. My eyes were burning when I wore contact lenses so I set out to get help. I went to see 2 optometrists before I met Dr. Small and both of them said my eyes were perfectly fine. I continued to have the same burning reaction, so I went to see Dr. Small and he was able to determine I had allergies right away. He took care of my allergy and now I can wear contact lenses again! Also, he gave me so much great advice on how to take care of my eyes health. I have been wearing contact lenses and eyeglasses for more than 20 years, so Im very experienced and knowledgeable on how to take care of my eyes. However, Dr. Small still could make recommendations that Ive never heard of before. This shows that he really is an expert and cares about his patients. Lastly, his prices are great. I didnt have health insurance and he tried to charge me as little as possible.

I went to this doctor due to the fact that I had lost my glasses and needed help seeing distance. I was an out of state college student and I went here to get new ones. When I went for my exam, the doctor was very all over the place and tried diagnosing me with a problem I did not have. When I went to pick them up, they were a prescription that did not help me whatsoever. Dr. Small tried saying that my problem was something completely different than it was. When I asked him to change it he got offended and threw a tantrum. He refunded me and told me I was wrong for not accepting his medical opinion and I go could go elsewhere. When I said how my parents were not happy either due to the fact that they were paying for it, he said "Your mom is not the doctor, I am. I went to school for this." Safe to say I will NOT being going back here. Awful experience and terrible service.

Was a prior patient as Lenscrafters and after my eye glass exam it was determined I would need Progressive lenses. After consolation the rep told me it was going to cost close to $1000 out of pocket, after insurence. I called East Oak and was in the next day, found a cute pair of glasses and he sent my precription for progressives quick and easy, ensuring me that they would do what they could to help. They gave me great advise on how to find the right fit of glasses, and in the end....I paid $240 total. This is the best "Mom and Pop" place to go if you care about the health of your eyes, but also your bank account. They truely take care of their patients with the best intentions and arent out to rob you. I am so thankful I found them! I would high advise to come here!!!

I am very impressed with Dr Small. I had an issue for months with the lights above my head at work and I was getting headaches from them . I was taking ibuprofen and I also tried expensive light sensitivity glasses i found online and but that only worked for a while. I decided to research online and find a good eye doctor to fix the issue. The reviews looked and great and I decided to give him a try. He was patient and nice and understanding and after he examined me he was able to give me glasses to use for computer work or for reading. I used the glasses for 2 weeks now and never had any issue with the lights!! Hes a genius!!!! THANK YOU Dr Small!

This was my first visit to this office, and it was excellent. Dr. Small is pleasant and professional, and hes very informative during his eye exams. He made a point to explain things clearly. The service from him and his wife was beyond what I have come to expect after years of going to Lenscrafters and similar places. Id highly recommend this office to anyone. One thing to note, however, is that youd be better off with another office if you need new glasses immediately. Dr. Small estimated about a week for mine to come in. (But he personally helped me order them. Again, much more than youd expect from a doctor in a bigger office.)

These two. All day, any day. I just found them after living in Tampa Heights for about a year and a half and they are awesome. I have been in glasses for thirty+ years, and in Contacts for 25+. The Doc is smart, if eclectic, and very personable. I would advise calling ahead of just "stopping by" and if you order your contacts through them be prepared to wait two weeks to get them - you pay when they arrive anyway. Bonus: If you ever need an "emergency" pair of lenses Doc has your back. Both me and my Fiancee have had to do so... We are not good with scheduling our purchases!

The doctor and his wife and just the sweetest, this office is small and cute and Dr. Small really takes the time to explain to you whats happening and why with your vision. He helped me pick out my glasses and made sure I was aware of the costs of my appointment (exam, lenses, frame etc..). Overall my appointment was fantastic, the doctor is wonderful and I would highly recommend.

Dr. Small and his wife are very good. The office is the cleanest, coolest, most pleasant place to go. They have the newest fashions of glasses, contacts, and sun glasses. The prices for exams, contacts, and glasses are the best in town. Please everyone tell your friends and family.
