Dear Alfred Angelo, I bought my Wedding dress from Alfred Angelo and it was not cheap, I spent over $1600! When I was at your Tampa store shopping for my dress back in January/February I had some ups and downs with the customer service. There was no one to help me even though we made an appointment well in advance. So we waited for about 40 minutes and finally the Director of the store who was visiting had Barbara the store manager assist us. She was being pulled from other associates throughout my whole time. I did fall in love with a dress and that was the only reason for my purchase. My mother whom is normally calm and quiet was so frustrated at our experience she had to walk outside for a deep breath. I decided to go back to Alfred even though my experience wasn’t the best for my Bridesmaids dresses this past Sunday because I liked the choices more. This was when I decided I don’t think I can go back EVER again, not even for my alterations! First off we drive over an hour just to get to this store. Upon our arrival (again appointment made well in advance), we waited almost 35 minutes for help. Then after we chose some dresses a girl puts us in a room and disappears back up to the register area and is just chit chatting with another associate. After about 15 minutes of my girls trying on dresses and struggling on their own I walked up to the associate and asked her if someone would be helping us?, she said yes she would be right there. She did come over and helped with about two gowns. She then proceeded to sit down on the stand in front of the mirror with her clipboard in hand and watch the girls and my MALE of honor help each other in and out of dresses. Again offering no help! This time I spoke up and I quote said “Are you not here to help them?” I think this is where I lost it, she sits her clipboard on my lap and gets up and sighs and looks miserable that I asked her to do her job! I got up and told my girls to get dressed. I told the associate the appointment was over and she never asked why or tried to fix the situation. I called the David’s Bridal down the road and they were more than willing to take us right in! Not only did they get us in within 5 minutes of arrival without an appointment they gave us fantastic customer service offered bottles of water and made $1000.00+ in sales with our party that should have been Alfred Angelo’s sale! I am so disgusted and upset with Alfred Angelo’s Customer Service I don’t want to go back and give them any money towards my alterations or any more of my time. I was scheduled for my first fitting yesterday and did not go. I now find myself having to research local tailors for my dress. This has been the most horrible experience during what’s supposed to be the best time of my life, Thanks Alfred Angelo ***********UPDATE************** I was contacted by Barbara in the store. She did try to make everything better. I am a much happier camper than I was before. I hope that Barbara and her team continue to work with their staff to ensure this does not happen to other brides. As I will still remember this. But overall I am very happy with the outcome and would still recommend brides to Alfred Angelo.

My experience at Alfred Angelo was two-fold. My purpose of going to this store was to look for bridesmaids dresses. My initial impressions were similar to those posted, where the sales associates did not seem incredibly interested in helping me (I actually had to ask for help several times and got handed off to three different sales associates during the same visit). I was also told that if I ordered X number of dresses, I would receive an $X discount on each dress. I ended up selecting a dress and passing the information onto my bridesmaids. I was then notified by my bridesmaids that they were not given the discount because it "didnt exist." Granted they were purchasing their dresses at different Alfred Angelo stores, however I was told the discount applied to every Alfred Angelo flagship store. I was upset at this and was eventually contacted by the Tampa store manager- Barbara. This is where my experience becomes two-fold. Barbara was the most accommodating, caring, and helpful person I could have asked for. She not only honored the discount, but also offered to ship the dresses to my bridesmaids (who were in different states) for free. She also followed up on all my bridesmaids dresses progress (ie. when they came in, making sure everyone was covered with a dress, and even contacting other flagship stores to make sure they would honor the discount). Then, on top of all that, she helped with what could have been a huge problem with another bridesmaid- let me explain. When one of my bridesmaids (who purchased her dress through a mom-and-pop bridal store, not associated with Alfred Angelo) did not receive her dress after ordering it almost 5 months earlier, and getting the run-around from the pop-shop, I called Barbara out of desperation. She immediately sprung into action, and promised we would get the dress in time. WELL BARBARA DELIVERED! We got the dress within a week. It should be stressed that this was not Barbaras responsibility, yet she went out of her way, above and beyond to help us out and make sure we had the dress. Thus, though my initial impressions of the store were not the greatest (secondary to store associates), the store manager has it together, and is one of the MOST HELPFUL, RESPONSIVE, DEDICATED, and CARING people I have encountered thus far in my wedding ventures. I am so thankful and grateful to her for all her hard work. I guarantee if a bride ever needed anything, Barbara would be there with her superwoman wand and she would make it happen- you can take that to the bank!!

I cannot stop smiling since I have left Alfred Angelo store #55. What a beautiful and flawless experience my fiance and I had. From the moment I called Alfred Angelo when I spoke to store manager, Barbara, I knew in my heart this was going to be the place where I would find my dream wedding dress. When I called the store I spoke with Barbara and I asked "Do you take walkins?" And she replied that they were really busy at the moment but immediately sympathized and asked me when was my wedding? I replied October 8th. She asked "THIS YEAR?!" And I replied yes, I knew I was cutting it close but was wondering if a miracle could happen, she said you need to come in right now and we will accommodate you, we want to create a great experience for you. And what an understatement that was, they made an INCREDIBLE experience for me. Immediately when my fiance and I walked through the door we felt so good. Not every bride brings in their future husband to a bridal store. I explained that hes my best friend and the only opinion I value anyway, so what the heck?! Kerry overheard my short deadline and what I was dreaming of to wear for my wedding day and she immediately knew EXACTLY...and I mean EXACTLY what I was looking for. The first dress she brought into my dressing room was the dress we knew from the start was going to be the one. When I looked at my fiance with tears in his eyes, I knew we had found the dress immediately. I cannot believe how seamless and flawless this search was to find my dream wedding dress. We waited so long to go dress shopping because I dread clothes shopping because of my body type, never once did I ever feel uncomfortable at Alfred Angelo, I never felt too fat and never felt rushed or overwhelmed. Kerry was so sweet and so customer service oriented and I could tell she had such a passion for helping women during this great but sometimes crazy time of their lives. She truly is a blessing to Alfred Angelo and you all really need to be proud of the great staff you have on your team. I really do appreciate the love, kindness and passion I felt at Alfred Angelo and will be recommending Alfred Angelo to any bride to be I meet, there is no other place to feel more cared for in all of the Tampa Bay area for sure.
