about an hour ago I walked in hoping to purchase a lint trap for a dryer. An older gentleman was sitting at 1 of the desks on the phone talking to 1 of his employees (Shawn) who was out in the field on a service call. Im not sure if he was the owner or not (because he refused to give me his name or the owners name) but I believe his name was either Bob or Robert...Im going to be referring to him as Bob as I write this review. While on the phone with the employee I heard him say "we are not housekeepers, do not move any of her furniture around". Im not sure what the employee said but the next words out of Bobs mouth were "good, then it shouldnt take you more than an hour" and he slammed the phone down. His tone to the employee was beyond rude and I couldnt believe he was talking that way in front of me, a potential customer. Bob then asked me what I needed. As I was telling him what I was looking for a cell phone rang & without as much as saying excuse me he answered it and proceeded to have a conversation with another employee. Bob said "Shawn is over at that womans house, I told him to leave that he didnt have time to move her furniture...that were not a bunch of n*ggers". To say I was shocked at the language he used is an understatement! When he got off the phone he again asked me what I needed. Im not sure how I kept my cool but I did. I asked him what his name was, he refused to give it to me. I asked him for the name of the owner, he refused that information also. I then went on to tell him that I did not appreciate the way he spoke to his employees & the fact that he used the n word. He told me it was none of my business. I turned around to leave & as I did I told him Im going to write a review explaining my experience and that I hope he ends up going out of business. He laughed and said "weve been here for decades, good luck". I told him he wont be in business much longer. He followed me outside and said "thats why you look the way you do & drive the car you drive". Im not sure what my weight (Im overweight) or the age of my car had to do with his rude behavior but he obviously felt the need to insult me after I called him out on his rude behavior. after reading the reviews Im not sure how hes still in business & to the person who said he/shes not sure why this company has so many bad reviews...we cant all be wrong!

The bad reviews are true! Do not shop in this store, I could not get out of there fast enough. The older guy is rude and should not be in a service oriented business. My mom is elderly and just went into assisted living so Ive been dealing with a lot. I needed to replace an old stove in her house. Trying to decide between a used and new stove he immediately pointed at a used stove and pushed me to put in in my truck. I told him it was dirty and he said I could clean it up. I said I wanted to look at others in his store. I asked about the price of a similar new stove. He told me then pushed me back to the dirty used one and pressed to put it in my truck. I again told him that it was dirty and I wanted to look at what else he had and continued to look up the narrow isle at his other stoves. He told me I was wasting his f-ing time. I said that Im here to buy and that I wanted to look around the store. He dropped the f word a bunch of times and was extreemly rude. He kept going off on me with f this and f that and how I was just wasting his f-ing time. At that point I was pretty frustrated with him and he told me to get out of his f-ing store. Im a pretty calm person but he had my veins popping. I was in earlier and talked to a middle aged guy that was nice (maybe his son?). I came back to look again because of him and make my decision. This rude, vulgar, pushy cheap used car salesman tactics person should not be working with the public. I will never go anywhere near that place again. If you want to find out for your self, go in there talk to the older guy, ask some questions. Take some time to look around. His wanting to make a fast buck personality will come out. I wasnt in his store 15 minutes before he went off on me. I like to support the smaller independant but WOW! Not this place! STAY AWAY!

I think the negative reviews on here are total BS. I have mutable homes and they have always treated me with courtesy and respect. Those who are complaining about pricing on parts dont know how the world works. If you want a part today, with no shipping charges yes youre going to pay more than the list price online. DA! They dont include tax and shipping on the list prices online until you check out. Why is milk more at 7-11 then the grocery store? It called convenience. If you could wait to go to a grocery store in the morning, you would have. With shipping and taxes on parts over the Internet, it figures out to be the same price anyway and you didnt have to wait 7-10 days for a posable wrong or damaged part. My name is on this review. I am NOT an employee and as always, my reviews are no BS. Google needs to find a way of stopping bogus reviews. It makes it hard to find good people. I only give reviews to businesses that deserve it. Thanks Atals

Went there to buy a new pump for my dishwasher. Was given a broken USED pump after going back a few times and it still not working I called and asked if they will buy my dishwasher. They said and yes and I should bring it by. When I got there with the dishwasher they told me they dont buy used appliance (even tho I know a few people who they have bought used appliance from) I told him Id like to return the broken pump he sold me and he very rudely pointed at a sign that says no returns. Not returns even for broken items. Clearly a scam artist can believe they are still in business. Please go elsewhere dont give them your money. They will give you terrible service and terrible used products.

I bought a "Less than one year old, under warranty" Frigidaire from the owner Bob. It turned out it was over three years old, out of warranty, etc. Atlas service techs came out more than eight times and never fixed it correctly. I got Frigidaire Corp involved and they fixed it correctly and gave me a warranty as part of their Goodwill program. I was lied to, screamed at and called names by the owner, Bob. He also screams at his employees in front of customers. I will never recommend Atlas and have spread the word about their unscrupulous business practices. He also wanted me to pay in cash and not use a credit card. That is probably so Visa/MC will not charge him back for unhappy customers.
