Found OBC when I first moved to Ocala. Family owned and operated. They are very active in the cycle community. My son is on his 3rd bicycle and my daughter her 2nd bicycle through their shop. My bike was unfortunately stolen, and OBC (and the Trek rep) helped me work with my insurance company and got me back on my bike. I think the best story I can tell, is that prior to being a regular customer and just "window shopping", Dan (owner) was working and a person brought in a bike that was clearly spray painted. The person was bringing it in for a "tune up". Dan took one look at the bike and asked very professionally: "May I flip it over". The person didnt object (at first), and when flipped over the serial number had been distorted. Dan looked the guy and said: "We wont work on that bike here." The person asked why and stated that he bought it in a Garage sale. Dan said: "That bike wont be serviced here". The guy now got a little sharp and said: "Can I speak to the manager" and Dan said "youre speaking to the owner and you need to take that bike out of my shop. The serial number has been tampered with. That bike has clearly been spray painted. Both signs that it is stolen. I would advise you to try to return it to the garage sale, but if youd like I can call the police and Im sure they can assist with any other questions about this bike." Dan never lost his composure, but his integrity and professionalism told me thats where I wanted to purchase my bikes and have them worked on. Who knew that 6 years later, I would be a victim of a stolen bike but I found my shop that will do the best to look out for me and my family.

I was in Florida taking my son to college and he had been looking for a road bike on Craigslist. As we were passing through Ocala on our way north I suggested we stop in a local bike shop to check and see what they may have and get a bit of a education on what to look for in a road bike for triathlon training. Wow, we could not have been more pleased with the staff. Not only did we luck out and find a great consignment bike, they encouraged him to take it for a spin, suggested aero bars and installed them as well as helped him select additional safety gear as well as local groups that he could ride with. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpfully, and involved in the local riding community. I would highly recommend Ocala Bicycle Center.

It was time for a new bike so I went to check out what trek had to offer. I told them I was hoping to get a full suspension for around $1500. The sales person told me that no one offers a full suspension under $1500. I assured him they did. He said maybe some third rate bike companies do. Well if you consider GT, Giant, Cannondale, Fuji, Jamis, and Breezer third rate he was right. This guy was completely out of touch with reality. I ended up buying a Fuji that was better equipped than the Trek hatdtails for half the price.

We have dealt with Ocala Bicycle Center since moving to Ocala five years ago. They are great people to work with, take the time to listen to what you have say about your bicycle and will explain the work they recommend thoroughly before they begin. You never have any surprises. They carry the Trek Bicycle, one of the best manufacturers in the world. We have purchased five Trek Bicycles from them since moving here.

I managed to mess up my Ultegra drive set, and Ocala repaired it for me. They were the third shop I took it to, and they came through. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the price was reasonable. Highly recommended.
