I purchased a 2013 Altima from Maus Nissan on 4/14. My salesman was EXCELLENT! Very knowledgeable. He got me approved in spite of my credit! I picked up the car and was very excited. Though my payments were more than I expected, I was willing to pay due to the great service I received from Ilan. His manager was also nice. I drive off the lot, the car was fine. I did ask the salesman about the mileage, engine and transmission, my deal breakers when buying a car. I have bought 3 cars from buy here pay here lots so I know that things happen. The transmission went out while driving not even 24 hours later. The car hesitated, went forward when trying to back up, and had a VERY slow take off in the middle of traffic. I almost got ran into while driving with my 1 year old daughter in the car. I contacted Nissan immediately to let them know. Customer relations was very nice and told me to bring the car in for service. I made a second call because the car was hardly drive-able. I was in Tampa. Again, I was asked to bring it in. During the commute to New Port Richey, the car stopped in traffic and would then take off so fast that I had to hit the brakes to avoid hitting someone else. My brother met me and drove the car to NPR to keep me and my baby safe. I make it to NPR and drove to Maus Nissan. When I got there the Ilan asked me what the car was doing. He drove it to service. Customer relations came out and explained to me the car would be put on the machine to see what codes come up and go from there. I waited and the Ilan pulls up with a 2010 Altima that he says is my new car. Granted, I appreciated the offer, but the car was scratched, the carpets were badly stained...he tried to cheer me up telling me the car had 56,000 miles. I didnt want the car. He tells me that they are trying to work with me and my credit isnt the best. I got really upset. My credit had nothing to do with me being sold a car with a bad transmission and he had told me everything was fine with the car the day I test drove it. He went back to see what he can do. He tells me they are going to put a new transmission in the car. I appreciate them fixing the car, but the transmission should have been check prior to me purchasing the car. The tech was fired, but nobody seemed to care that I could have been injured or lost my life, my daughters life due to a faulty car. I was told, they understood that part, but I guess I should have jumped for joy since they were fixing it. It was almost like being told, you have bad credit, be happy we even gave you a car and be happy we are even fixing it. I was reminded how this could have happened later down the line and I would have been responsible for the deductible, etc. etc. Still not good enough for the experience I had with them as a new customer. Im waiting for my car to be fixed, 14 days I was quoted. Im not impressed with a loaner car, I would rather have mine. They want a down payment this week, but I hadnt drove my car for more than a few hours. I get my credit thrown in my face and if it is so bad, decline my app and let me take my bad credit elsewhere. The Manager Shawn G was a JERK. I called to air my grievance (considering a manager never came or the owner never came to apologize for the inconvenience), he listened and rudely responded we are fixing your car maam, what more do you want us to do. I would take my Pontiac back any day. I wouldve appreciated being put into another Altima that same day that wasnt scratched or dirty. We contacted the owner and he has NOT returned our call. I referred my brother to Maus Nissan, but after this experience, he went to Toyota and got approved with not so great credit. Update: Its been 2 weeks and I still dont have my car. My debit card was charged 138.62, neither finance or service could tell me why. Now I have to dispute and cancel my card. Finance says they show me owning the 2010 Nissan Altima they tried to give me to replace the 2013 Altima I originally purchased.

I spoke with the Sales Associate Jacob at Maus Nissan New Port Richey on 11/30/15 and 12/1/15 in regard to a 2015 Nissan Altima lease, on contingency that Maus Nissan would pay for the over mileage and the remainder of the lease payments on the 2013 Nissan Pathfinder. Jacob said yes he would take care of it for us, by paying off the old leader and paying off the over mileage. Matt one of the finance personnel I spoke to in general casual conversation (I was under the impression everything will go through Jacob to prevent confusion). This is our 3rd lease with Nissan, and we have had other lease car contracts, with no confusion until now. When signing the initial contract the pricing was wrong, it was approximately $30-$40/month higher. The finance person eventually had to rip it up and restart the process (we were in a rush, husband had to pick the kids up from school in 2 separate locations 40-50 miles away and wife to go back to work ASAP). Jacob confirmed the Nissan pathfinder was in good condition and we would start off at a zero balance on the new 2015 Nissan Altima (we found out later, we had to pay additional fee as well). Ultimately I spoke with David Maus Jr. He seemed to be more concerned about protecting Jacob and his business with a sarcastic tone of voice, using reverse psychology. Saying it was illegal to record a conversation without consent, said he was not sure if Jacob really agreed to these particular terms. David Maus Jr. said “I will call you back.” David Maus Jr. never called back! We always look good when we are on the positive side. But how does a businessman handle a situation when his company is wrong or made a mistake? I gave Maus Nissan numerous of times to clear this up, but they preferred to leave my family hanging. Sometimes in life it is better to apologize and take a step backwards than to take a step forward. The community will be well aware of this poorly handled situation. We do not recommend Maus Nissan New Port Richey! P.S. If we made the mistake we would have accepted the loss and moved on. When men shake hands, make verbal agreeable commitment if front of 2 or more people and can be tracked through phone records, the agreement should stand. We are still patiently waiting on the phone call. What comes around goes around in life (money can only hide you for so long)!

ZERO STARS!!! My family and I have had an EXTREMELY TERRIBLE experience buying a truck for my from maus Nissan. Please read if you want hear how UNSYMPATHETIC and ARROGANT the sales management staff was and continues to be to my family. This previous Monday my family and I go to buy a truck for our small start up food business. The truck was also was supposed to be used as a means of daily transportation for my sister who is diagnosed autistic. This is the first car purchase that my sister has ever made. The sales staff showed us a 2016 Nissan frontier. The truck seemed okay at first but we were lied to about certain specifics of the truck before we bought it such as the truck has no power windows or locks and the towing capacity was 6,500 lbs when it actually can only tow 3,500lb. Which we found out after signing the contract. My disabled sister needs a car with power locks due to saftey reasons. The aspect of this deal that was the most con artist like was the salesman told us we would get a FREE cruise if we bought the deal. I asked him can we please think about if for a day or two and his exact words were "YOU HAVE 2 MINUTES TO MAKE UP YOUR MIND". He urged my disabled sister to sign even though we where asking for more time to think about it. The salesman went behind my back and pushed the deal on my sister so hard she was almost forced to sign the papers. Less than 24 hours after we bought the truck we were contacting management to help us undo the deal we were pushed into purchasing. We have gotten ZERO help from DAVID MAUS JR. We already put 3000$ down on this truck and theyre only option for us is to put down another 4000$ to get a different pre-owned truck that suites our business and is safe for Anna. David Maus is TOTALLY UNSYMPATHETIC to our situation. We are continuing to fight this battle because we do not feel it is morally right how this dealership took advantage of my sister and our situation. PLEASE AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS!!! We are still looking for anyone to help us cause this dealership has put us into a very deep and stressful hole that we cannot get out of.
