Not a place you want to visit if you visiting Miami, not easy on the eyes. However its a typical mall nothing is essentially wrong with it nor that bad. The main big reason for coming here would be for the cheaper movie tickets on Tuesdays. Click more to see my in-dept review! Scenery: Nothing much to see here, all that really can be said is the children play pit(which seems very dirty) and the Marry-Go-Round which has been in the mall since I could remember. Stores: Southland does offer a wide amount of stores, however only a couple are well known brand names, most are tiny non-known clothing shops of the Hispanic vibe. Restaurants: The only true Restaurants are Johnny Rockets, another one next to it ,and Buffalo wild wings. There is however a Food Court yard that is filled with other Fast Food ranging from Taco-Bell to Burger King. Crowd: I am going out and say that Southland isnt my most favorable crowd. Now most of the time people seem be out of your way. Its hard to say what I think about the mall, I try my best to not go ,but there is no big factor into why. It is just okay, nothing fancy about it.

Growing up as a kid, I use to love hanging ou at the mall with my friends. As a matter of fact, I can still picture the feel and decor of the late 90s. As a matter of fact, walking into Southland Malls took me back. If it wasnt for the HDTV posters and mobile phone accessory kiosks, because Im old-er, I could of sworn I was back in Jr. High. I came there for Sephora, which was located inside JC Penny, and ended up roaming the entire mall. It wasnt very big, and there wasnt too many shops I was interested in so it didnt take long. Then again, I dont shop much and if I do, its usually online. The food court was small but selections were varied. There is a Starbucks inside the mall of which I hung out in for a while. I was very disappointed in the guest services kiosk. I stopped by twice, before and after lunch, and no one was there. I would go back, but only if I need to or wanted to visit a chain restaurant that surrounds it.

Recien salgo del bathroom que esta al lado de Food Court .y apesta y le he tomado una foto al Toilet ripiado lleno de porqueria..y eso esta desde hace 2 horas pues regreze a ver si habian limpiado.pase por la oficina y no hay nadie.pregunte y nadie trabaja dines de semana.¿nadie es reponsable aqui de lo que suceda en el mall?.por fin vi security y le hice el complain...nunca he visto esto en ningun Mall de Usa.

my experience so far as a tourist here in Florida. Ive been to a lot of places but this one takes the cake. This is a mental institution / Recovery Center for the criminally insane and the poor drug-addicted people that work/Go there. The only good thing i saw on this place was, the security guards think theyre cops. I dont blame them when youre surrounded by filth 24/7. I was at the food court and I saw a cockroach on the table and lost my appetite. I dont know what is it about Florida, this state needs to legalize drugs, because I feel like everywhere I go Im either in a recovery center for drug addicted patients, or Im in the Twilight Zone because no one speaks English. Hopefully somebody reads my review, and hopefully fixes something about it. From Chicago news Thats all I got to say, about this So called Mall,

what I like about this mall its that its not busy with so many people. most of the times its quite empty. I love that because I hate going to malls that are super packed with people like Dolphin Mall. I love the movie theater because people that work there are so friendly and nice. I love it because the people that go to the movies are very polite and dont talk wile the movies are on. I never thought that this would be the case in view that most people that go there seem to be a little ghetto however, to my surprise they are so much more polite than in those theaters that seem to not be ghetto. Love the mall simply because its less people in it and because movie personnel are so courteous

El Southland mall no tienen nada en particular que lo haga especial para detenerse en Miami. A menos que haya una necesidad puntual (que otro mall no pueda suplir) no es necesario entrar allí. La plaza de comidas no tiene muchas opciones, casi todas comida tipo "cajún", no hay WiFi gratis; solo el de Starbucks.

Average mall with your basic shopping needs. For food court establishes a wide variety of foods from Chinese cuisine , to good old fashion Spanish Cuban food. They also have mainstream food joints like taco bell and subways. The stores sew all independent so each one requires its review. It also has 2 different kid friendly sections that include a round play pen with carpet floors and props protruding from the ground so kids can safely climb and a merry-go-round with horses and other sit ins kids wil enjoy.

A reasonable mall. The average megastores are available here: Macys, JCPenny, Sears, etc. However, a significant amount of the mall is under heavy construction. The theatre in the mall is probably the best in the surrounding area for the price. Youll experience less of the local culture - phones on the highest brightness, talking on the phone during the movie, children out past 11pm on school nights, etc. - in theatre. Similarly, dont plan on coming on a Sunday, as they dont open until noon.

Miss the arcade but i had an awesome experience as Macys MAC and the petite clothing section. The new make-up artist Angie is super sweet , gives great customer service FYI i learned how to do my own make-up and i love how i didnt feel intimidated. In the petite section this young lady named Vania was very curtious , very helpful and i love the dress she helped me pick out. Thank you ladies if you are reading this! BEST WORKERS BY FAR IN MACYS and a few others.

I was meeting up with family here at the play area, when i looked down and seen a family of roaches climbing into shoes left on the floor, when i got up to see where they were coming from it was from between the seating area.. roaches carry all different types of germs, and they also causes flare ups for allergy and asthma sufferers ... really nasty, there are also parents who allow there misbehaved children to play unsupervised hitting on other children.

Excellent mall thats usually never too crowded. It has all the usual mall shops and things with plenty of parking. Convenient if you live further south otherwise take a short trip and avoid all the headaches from other malls. South Dade Cultural Center conveniently located across the street on 211 St. & a few more blocks south is the Farmers Market, on 248 St. & US1. Make it a day long trip for culture, agriculture , & mall things.
