WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE, EVER. originally we came on a tuesday and they were closed (no ones fault but ours). next week we went on a friday. they close at 5pm as the web states but they dont mention on the phone that they stop renting at 230pm. we came at 2pm and they said they were done for the day. we came the following week (now the third attempt) at 115pm (i work early mornings) and the elderly man was attempting to rent to us (albeit not friendly) when the larger man began violently tossing the canoes around and throwing the oars shouting WHAT KIND OF IDIOTS GO OUT THIS LATE. 2 hours is plenty of time, and we arrived almost 4 hours before they "close." needless to say, we left without renting and have told everyone we know to not go here. it was supposed to be a relaxing day off in the sun, if they dont want money thats fine but it looks like they could use it. the larger man should be fired for his nasty attitude and mouth. our day was ruined.

Best kayaking in SE Florida I have had the opportunity to kayak several places in Florida over the past decade, and this is definitely the most enjoyable and scenic. A Meandering narrow river through what appears to be virgin Old Florida water lands – is a lot like paddling through a storybook. Superb, massive native Cypress, great canopy, the occasional current to make things a little more challenging – and one 4 foot dam to paddle over --and raise the adrenaline level just a little. Great for families, novices and anyone who wants to get away from the press of modern lifestyles, and appreciate Gods nature for two or more hours. Kayaks and canoes are reasonably priced. Hours end at five, though – so you have to be back in by 4:30 PM

Ive rented canoes and kayaks from Eric at Canoe Outfitters on Indiantown Road for over ten years. He has always cooeprated to the maximum extent, extended himself and his crew, and provided us with the equipment and any help we needed. The Loxahatchee River is one of my favorite paddles, as its interesting, sometimes difficult, but always a pleasure.

I have rented kayaks from this outfitter close to a dozen times, and they have been great every time. Their prices are great since they do not limit you to a set amount of time and allow you to experience the river at your own pace. If you do not have your own kayak, then they are a great option.

You can rent and being picked up 5 hours later down the river at Jonathan Dickinson Park, or drop your own kayak. Spectacular, the canope is so dense you feel like being in the rain forest somewhere in Amazonia for the first hour or so. A must do in Jupiter.

Wonderful place to rent a canoe or kayak and paddle down the river. The owners are very knowledgeable and will help you asses your skill and let you know about the water level, where youll get stuck, everything. Listen to them and dont feed the wildlife.

Failed to mention on the phone they stop renting canoes after 2:30 on Saturdays. The man running the front was very dull and didnt seem like he wanted the business anyway. So me and my group of friends found another place that better served us

The trip down the Lox is a great trip, though it can be a little strenuous with all the downed logs. If you rent a kayak, bring your own paddles if you have em as the shop rents the cheap, heavy, inefficient paddles (same as the state park)

Have been canoeing this stretch of river for 20 years and still enjoy it as much as I did the first time. When friends from out of state visit and we have the time this is definitely one of the sites I insist on. A float trip !

If you get past the old troll at the front desk you will have an amazing time! Beautiful scenery and affordable prices. The picnic island is perfect for dates and family get togethers.

Fabulous place to canoe or kayak, or ride bicycle on their paths. There are several picnic areas to have lunch at, and they are really nice. My sons and I love going there

What an experience. Very scenic. Close encounters with the wild life especially gators. Very very very strenuous, unless you know what your doing.
