This is NOT a good facility for guns, ammunition, or shooting. By my best estimate you can expect to pay at least 60% more here than a comparable shooting range. I went shooting here with my girlfriend and fired 2 pistols (9mm and 22LR), fired fifty 9mm, 100 22LR and the total was $83 w/ tax. For one, the gun selection was terrible, a gun literally broke while firing it (the slide literally exploded), and the facilities were very run down and poorly maintained. At Weston Arms, just off 595 and University, I fired about the same number of rounds and used similar pistols and the total was around $55. And Weston Arms isnt particular cheap either. Also, I agree with the poster below, there is a very weird guy behind the counter with a SA .45, who talks way too much about his pistol and is a little unnerving... one of those people you hope would not have a gun. By the time he explained his "Blackwater training camp" experience I was really considering whether he was planning to draw on us. Oh, also, he made a strange and awkward "pass" at my girlfriend, I think. UPDATE: out of necessity I stopped by to buy some 7.62 x 39mm and they offered me Croatian MATAKs at $9/ box of 20. I have personally paid $1/ box for these rounds when I bought 1500 rounds for $100. This disgustingly large markup was enough to deter me from ever returning. Clearly, this business has no problem charging an insane markup for substandard goods and services. Additionally, before I rejected the rounds, the ".45 guy"/ salesman neglected to inform me that they are corrosive rounds (as I knew they were) and he would have gladly allowed me to risk damaging my rifles without properly informing me.

I arrived sometime between 11 am (when they open) and 6:30 pm (when they close) to check out some firearms and may i say they have a variety; everything from glocks to m1 garands. Once i found the brand new gun I was interested in purchasing they let me test fire it in the range to be sure it was the one for me. I came back the next day to shoot with my family one of the many rental firearms they offer and it was only $10 per person per day and $15 for the gun. These prices compared to other places are unbeatable for me. The welcoming employees behind the counter were informative and knew what they were talking about gun wise. I would 10/10 recommend this store to anyone interested in firearms or fishing.

Love it here. They are extended family to me. Always take care of me when I come in. Its never dirty & if I need help I can ask and if nothing to crazy is going on they drop everything. Their very friendly & the facility is neat. And you get tons of knowledge in regards to firearm purchase from cost, carry to comfortability. Roy will not allow you to just throw money away on a gun that doesnt even make you comfortable. Very good chartered people, love them.

First time shooting a semi-auto rifle. The lady behind the front desk was very knowledgeable and helpful. To rent the rifle w/ammo was pennies on the dollar. There was some wolverine second amendment fanatic guy also behind the counter that came off as a douche at first but was really just patriotic and friendly once I you got to know him. Not to mention he was pretty knowledgeable with fishing location and tackle,I give this place a 5/5 .

This place is awesome like the other guy said its like going back in time. The staff is very cool and very knowledgable. I was there today and took one of my employees there shooting while we were down in Ft. Lauderdale for business. They just became a GLOCK official shooting center as well. I brought my XD9. I will be going back again. They also sell new and used and rent guns.

I had a similar I D 10 T issue at Boyds. This was the gun geek with a grey pony tail. In the shooting area he decided to, as he said, cut in for a sec, to demonstrate how to pull the trigger, while I was with a guest. This took about 10-15 minutes... of my rented hour! Time goes fast when youre paying for it. Dont these people have other things to do, like CLEAN THE PLACE UP?

This place is totally old school Florida - all the tackle youd ever need from people who know what they are talking about. The shooting range is a throwback with water at the end of range to absorb the bullets and hand winches to crank the targets out in the range. Like something out of the 40s. Gotta love it.

I was given a mint 1965 Walther PPK/S that had not been fired in over 40 years. I wanted it fully serviced prior to firing it for the first time. I took the gun to Roy and he turned it around in two days. He was informative, helpful, and straightforward. Needless to say I’ll be going back in the future.

Mom and Pop style store, very laid back but informational. $10 an hr for a lane and if its empty they allow you to stay longer. Highly recommended and close to down town.

I didnt feel comfortable at this place. I felt unwanted, and discriminated because of my appearance and race. I would not recommend anyone to this place of business.

Place is mostly a gun shop and shooting range. I went for tackle and promptly left due to old inventory. This review is only for the tackle side of the store.
